Sui Testnet Wave 1 Live
As we move from Devnet to Testnet Wave 1, the biggest change is the inclusion of independent validators. Under Devnet, Mysten Labs operates four validators to verify transactions on the network. As an incentivized Testnet, there are likely to be some bumps and learning moments as we attempt operating a decentralized network for the first time.

This network will be transitory, and will be shut down once we achieve our goals. Future Waves will come on the road to Mainnet.

A reminder: there are no plans for an airdrop, and interacting with the Testnet will not win you any prizes. Also note that Devnet remains the preferred environment for developers to build and test applications, as Testnet may be subject to operational drills, and may have longer windows between fixes due to coordination delays. The Testnet faucet may also be subject to rate limits to ensure a smooth experience for our operators.

We appreciate meaningful interaction that helps us test the full capabilities of Sui!
