The New York Times says the program provides about $9,000 per child each year. Average U.S. childcare runs about $13,000 to $14,000 a year. Parents would need to be married, meet income rules, and have one spouse working while the other stays home.
THIS IS THE WAY!
Nonprofits are already crying that it forces an “outdated vision of the family.” Stay-at-home moms already work a full-time job. Treating them like they count is not oppression. It is finally recognizing the people who raise the next generation.
Strong families built this country. Policy should stop punishing parents who choose to be home.
