This is what Instagram’s upcoming Twitter competitor looks likeThe forthcoming app, which, in the meeting, Meta chief product officer Chris Cox called “our response to Twitter,” will use Instagram’s account system to automatically populate a user’s information. The internal codename for the app is “Project 92,” and its public name could be Threads, based on internal documents.
The new standalone app will be based on Instagram and integrate with ActivityPub, the decentralized social media protocol. That will theoretically allow users of the new app to take their accounts and followers with them to other apps that support ActivityPub, including Mastodon.

Lossless Audio Quality and Customisable Themes are coming to Spotify

Spotify is preparing a new subscription that will include "HiFi" Lossless audio quality. This new subscription Spotify announced 2 years ago in 2021 and it's finally coming at the end of 2023.
Rivals Amazon Music, Apple Music and Tidal already have lossless audio quality option and do NOT charge extra for it
The pricing is currently unknown but internally its named as "Supremium"
Spotify will also add Customizable Themes to its premium subscription.
The company is sending users a survey that showcased new colors for the app and logo while asking its feedback
Mockups shown in survey included Gold-Black, Gold-Green and Gold-Purple combinations.
So instead of adding Material You support to theme Spotify based on wallpaper colors for Free, they decided to add in its Premium tier.

In the US, IG is rolling out the ability to download reels shared by public accounts to your camera roll. Just tap the Share icon on a reel you love and select Download. ⬇️
Worth mentioning, Reels shared by private accounts can’t be downloaded and public accounts can turn off the ability for people to download their reels in Account Settings ⚙️
