Those who have embraced the myth of individualism at all costs are struggling against reality as it is. They are fighting a losing battle against the truth. As a result, radical individualists despise tradition. They reject it and want to smash anything that smacks of it, as they would smash the bars of a prison. If a man really believes the world is subject to his whims and folly, he must reject anything that even resembles a perceived reality, anything that reminds him of what has come before him in the long chain of existence - whether it be liturgical, architectural, or social.
“As power, depersonalized and socialized has become gold, capital, so likewise has wisdom, depersonalized and socialized, become ‘concept’, ‘rationality’. And this is the second root of the European evil.” -Julius Evola

When power and wisdom are divorced from personality and placed within reach of all, they lose all meaning, all significance. Rather than being granted to the worthy, they are profaned and lowered that all might lay claim to them. This eliminates all capacity for excellence and inevitably, results in mediocrity, for there is not only corruption of principle, but also usurpation of right.
Democracyis none other than the expression of the masses, and it should therefore come at no surprise that the usurpers it elects are no less than mediocre. It is an absurdity to expect justice from such a system, dependent as it is upon the fervor of the masses, their inherent mediocrity, and their ignorance of truth. Nothing of value can be produced in its name, depravity and ruin only can result. This has been the story of every democratic “nation” known to date.

Many who do not condemn democracy in full do so under the belief that self-interest will, at the very least, produce useful results. This is the fault of the so-called “traditionalists”, “America first nationalists”, and the like, but this is not what occurs in reality.

“[T]he ‘useful’ is itself far less absolute than many would like to believe... Because of the irrational character of the psychology of the masses, what the majority does has very seldom been ‘useful’ pure and simple, and even less often the autonomous will of the many, infinitely more often, it has been the power, the attractive force of particular persons, whose the greatest number of followers was only a consequence and an echo. Powerful individuals have known how to drag the crowds where they wanted, throwing into the sea all the mediocre, bourgeois, precisely calculated standards of ‘utility’, suitability, and general welfare. History shows this to us everywhere: fired by the enthusiasm for a man, a symbol, an idea, millions of beings have overwhelmed the barriers of prudent normality, and sacrificed, immolated, or destroyed themselves. Democratism knows that.” -Julius Evola

This persistent drive to compel all to vote indicates an understanding of democracy’s fundamental flaws as well as a desire to press the advantage they present to the forces of subversion. All that results from the mass, upon which democracy is based, is the expression of its mediocrity, and the result of this expression is always less than average. By calling for more to vote, not only is the average lowered, but also the result. This allows for the truly infernal to garner support. Be wary of all those who support this state of affairs, regardless of how well-intentioned they seem, their desires can never be benevolent.
If the word ‘democracy’ is defined as the government of the people, by themselves, it expresses an absolute impossibility and cannot even have a mere de facto existence - in our time or in any other... It is contradictory to say that the same persons can at the same time be rulers and ruled, because, to use Aristotelian terminology, the same being cannot be ‘in act’ and ‘in potency’ at the same time and in the same relationship.

The relationship between ruler and ruled necessitates two terms: there can be no ruled if there are not also rulers... [T]he guiding function is exercised by a true elite, and its very existence - since by necessity it plays this role if it exists at all - is utterly incompatible with democracy, which is closely bound up with the egalitarian conception, and therefore the negation of all hierarchy; the very foundation of the democratic idea is the supposition that every individual is as good as another, simply because they are equal numerically and in spite of the fact that they can never be equal any other way

Rule is a necessary counterpart of order, but in its modern expressions it is not only illegitimate but also inadequate . Modern rule, as with the modern world as a whole, is entirely given over to quantity, to the material; it lacks spiritual chrism, consecration from above. The modern world initially abandoned heaven for earth, seeing in the material justification for its endeavors, but the earth was eventually forsaken for hell. Now, the infernal is seen as a source for justice and authority, hence the inversion of values and prevalence of disorder in every domain. No true order can come from this aberration, and only damnation is found within it; what is necessary then is the restoration of that elite sanctioned by God himself to be a terror to the wicked and an executioner of His will. Only this elite has the right and duty to rule, and only this elite can establish an order directed toward the heights, quelling all that stemming from below.
Everyone in the West knows of chains, blood, and darkness, but nothing of freedom. The shout of freedom, which is heard ringing out everywhere, is only a shout of prisoners, a howling of chained wild animals, a voice which comes from below.” -Julius Evola

Modern man knows nothing of freedom, only of slavery under a different name. True freedom is not “freedom to” but “freedom for”. The freedom to do as one pleases, is the desire of slaves given over to their passions and desires without a higher calling. True freedom has a purpose; it enables each individual to pursue his vocation, his divine calling, to do what he ought, not what his carnal passions would feed into. Without hindrance, except for the boundaries necessarily set in place to prevent deviation.
“[T]he idea of interregnum, of latent regality... A regal or imperial figure in truth would never die. He would withdraw into an inaccessible abode and he would await his hour to reawaken and to manifest himself, to wage, alongside all of those who remained faithful to him, a decisive battle against the forces of disorder, of injustice, and of the darkness...

[A]s soon as one realizes that there is no one any longer behind the apparent defenses of a world in crisis, no one who could grant this defense solidity and true legitimacy, in this same moment the unleashing of the lower forces will come. As usurpation and consequent disorder reach their extreme limit, the crisis arrives and with it the decisive moment: the last battle.”
-Julius Evola

We must keep the faith. It is clear that in this age of depravity the great wall has been breached, and the nihilism our modern world is characterized by continually strives for domination as a result.

How is it that the Traditional man, despite being most aware of it, is so apt to experience the dismally grey, moldering modern world with such tenacity and steadfastness, where others crumble in their attempt to find meaning in transitory events or circumstances? If nothing else, this contrast makes the case alone.

Furthermore, this offers an explanation as to why resistance, baseless and incapable of surpassing the material plane, is null and unavailing. No victory can be achieved in this manner, and this resistance will inevitably be caught up in the currents of the age. We must remain standing, faithful, unbroken, not willing to compromise for material gain. Though there are ruins all around us, we must endure until our Lord’s return.

It is for this reason that so-called “traditionalists” feel the need to distinguish between “blackpills” and “whitepills”, the former often being a result of some politician or media influencer saying or doing something contrary to what the groupthink allows. This is pathetic to say the least, and will begin to act as a neutral conductor to the very demonic system to which they claim to be opposed. “Infiltration” is not an option. Beware anyone who tells you these things are viable.
