“The revolt against [the] aspects of a problematic civilization can be legitimate. But that which characterizes recent times is the dearth of every rectifying, restorative action from the heights; this often necessary initiative and action of rupture is allowed to commence precisely from below, where this ‘below’ is understood both as a reference to inferior social tiers, as well as inferior values. Thus, the inevitable consequence is the shifting of the center of gravity toward a level which stands yet lower than that of these crisis-ridden structures which have become empty of almost every vital content . . . [Social justice] is in no way true justice, the distributive justice of suum cuique, based on the principle of inequality . . . It is rather a partisan pseudo-justice, at the exclusive service of the lowest classes, the so-called ‘workers’, and at the expense of all others. It exists under the sign of myths that serve only to pave the way little by little for the ascent of leftist forces in the state.” -Julius Evola

In our current epoch, the desire for revolution is commonplace; however, the notion of revolution is entirely divorced from its positive, traditional conception. Revolution in the positive sense is rectification, a true return to principle, but return to principle is certainly not the goal for revolutionary currents acting in the modern age. Instead, their desire is to open the doors to ever more inferior forces and to destroy all that which bears the mark of superiority. Since the greater cannot proceed from the lesser, this leveling process, often under the guise of “social justice”, is the only method by which “equality” can be achieved. This can only result in social chaos, for each man is “liberated” from his proper station and the relationships associated with it. When man finds himself in such a state, he is too often misguided by confused sensations and desires, for revolutionaries have toppled the bridge connecting him to the divine. Thus, elevation becomes impossible for him.

“Our Apostolic Mandate requires from Us that We watch over the purity of the Faith and the integrity of Catholic discipline. It requires from Us that We protect the faithful from evil and error; especially so when evil and error are presented in dynamic language which, concealing vague notions and ambiguous expressions with emotional and high-sounding words, is likely to set ablaze the hearts of men in pursuit of ideals which, whilst attractive, are nonetheless nefarious.” -Pope Saint Pius X
“A man without faith is a man without a soul. Suffer not the soulless in the ministry, for they make doors for dangerous forces.”

In the modern mentality, materialism prevails in its truest sense: as the denial of all that which cannot be reduced to the material. When such a state is present, how can there be any brotherhood, or even reconciliation, with its bearers? There necessarily can’t be for they seek to oppose the divine itself and will hinder any progress towards that which transcends them.
“[I]t is too often supposed, in ignorance of what true intellectuality really is, that a merely philosophical knowledge, which even the best of cases is a mere shadow of true knowledge, can put everything to rights and turn the contemporary mentality away from its deviation; in the same way, there are those who think they can find in modern science itself a means of raising themselves to higher truths, whereas this science is in fact founded on the negation of those truths. All these illusions are so many influences leading people astray, and by their means many who sincerely desire to act against the modern outlook are reduced to impotence, since, having failed to find the essential principles without which all action is in vain, they have been swept into blind alleys from which there is no escape.” -René Guénon

The path forward cannot possibly be through the materialistic ways of this world; only that which transcends them can offer any real solution. Those who claim otherwise are no more than blind guides, propagating as much error as the moderns themselves, and the fruits of their labor will be equally as vain.
“It is nonetheless remarkable to see the vitality of a religious tradition [Catholicism] that . . . still endures despite all the attempts made to crush and destroy it. Those who are capable of reflection must see in this resistance signs of a more than human power” -René Guénon

“And
I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my Church, and gates of hell shall never prevail against it.” -St. Matthew 16:18

No matter how fierce the assault against it may be, our Lord promises that the Church will prevail. Victory is inevitable, no matter how grim the circumstances may become. Don’t lose heart, but bear your cross knowing the Church, of which you are apart, will emerge triumphant.
“The essence of hierarchy is that there is something living as a reality in certain people, a prestige, an authority, and a calm power which the most heavily armed tyrant can never count upon.” -Julius Evola

Contrary to modern opinion, hierarchy is not an unjust and wicked system, but rather an organic one which renders to each according to his nature. True freedom is thus obtained as each is capable of fulfilling his God-given role and maintaining his internal unity. Furthermore, the potential for tyranny is greatly limited as those who would abuse it with their incompetence cannot claim this authority for they lack the necessary qualifications. It is the nature of modernity to invert this order, to fracture this unity, and to usurp this authority, thus modernity can rightfully be called satanic in the true sense of the term and must be opposed in all its myriad forms.
