Volodymyr Zelensky on March 3, 2026: "I want to be clear: I will never leave Donbass and the 200,000 Ukrainians who live there. Why on earth should I do that? Because Putin imposes it as a condition for peace? And will he immediately impose new demands? No, I'm not having it."

Friedrich Merz: "My biggest concern at the moment is not our economy, is not the European Union, is not America, is not China. My biggest concern is the impact of Russia on our society and how they are succeeding to destabilize our societies."

Emmanuel Macron: "[...] there was foreign manipulation of information afterwards, yes, which led to comments as unacceptable as they were stupid from many people, including foreign leaders. That is to say, we saw artificial intelligence images showing scenes that never happened in France. We had people explaining that we had been invaded by hordes of migrants and Islamists, which is totally false. Well, so among other things, but that's part of it, you know, in moments like these, you see who loves France and who doesn't. Everyone, well forced to admit it, everyone who speaks badly of our country right now, these are people who don't love our country. So those people annoy me. Me, I love my country. So, we are going to fix what happened. But there are a lot of people who wanted, there are people campaigning on the back of France. When I see leaders who are in campaign situations in the region or across the Atlantic, who sometimes credulously take up what's in artificial intelligence, or who relay what are obviously facts, want to make people believe what happened in France, but they are campaigning on our backs. So we don't need that. We already have difficulties, we manage them methodically, respectfully, but also with determination and firmness and we will go all the way, we want order, respect and to move our country forward."

Volodymyr Zelensky: "[...] things were made in Ukraine. And what's the problem for Russia? It will fall apart. [...]"

Volodymyr Zelensky: "Ukraine is not Russia. That's Putin’s problem – refusing to recognize a separate nation, refusing to recognize a separate country – that's what did him in. He was shown a military operation that was supposed to take three days. We found parade uniforms in their various military vehicles. They were literally marching to a parade. He still doesn't understand and doesn't want to admit that this is a different nation, a different people. [...]"

QUESTION: "Secretary Rubio, turning to geopolitics, President Putin said yesterday that Russia was willing for a tripartite meeting with the U.S. and Ukraine over ending the war. What do you see as a realistic path to ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict?"
MARCO RUBIO: "Well, it’s a very difficult conflict, and I know the President has dedicated a tremendous amount of time to it. We have people that do nothing all day but work on trying to find a way to make a difference and bridge those differences. I would just say to you that that war – people keep talking about it’s a war in Ukraine. That war is about Donbas. It’s about one region of the country. It’s – at its core, it’s about 11 percent of one part of that country that Russia wants and cannot take militarily and that Ukraine is unwilling to give up. And they have good reasons why they don’t want to do that – for sovereignty and their own security long term. [...]"
