“Liberalism is a manifestation of opportunism and conflicts fundamentally with Marxism. It is negative and objectively has the effect of helping the enemy; that is why the enemy welcomes its preservation in our midst. Such being its nature, there should be no place for it in the ranks of the revolution.
We must use Marxism, which is positive in spirit, to overcome liberalism, which is negative. A communist should have largeness of mind and he should be staunch and active, looking upon the interests of the revolution as his very life and subordinating his personal interests to those of the revolution; always and everywhere he should adhere to principle and wage a tireless struggle against all incorrect ideas and actions, so as to consolidate the collective life of the Party and strengthen the ties between the Party and the masses; he should be more concerned about the Party and the masses than about any private person, and more concerned about others than about himself. Only thus can he be considered a communist.”

"The thinking worker knows that the most dangerous of advisers are those liberal friends of the workers who claim to be defending their interests, but are actually trying to destroy the class independence of the proletariat and its organisation. It is therefore our bounden duty to open the workers’ eyes to the manner in which the liquidators are destroying the organisation…"

This week I spoke with Garland Nixon about the Epstein files. What do they reveal to us about the nature of the capitalist-imperialist state machinery and western bourgeois democracy?
What has been exposed is not just the depravity, supremacy and criminality of the ruling elites, but the personal networks (long ago described by the founders of Marxist science) through which they operate, do deals and manage the direction of the system – far away from any mechanisms of public accountability, scrutiny or control.
The truth is that we didn’t need these fresh revelations to prove that the present system is inherently genocidal, sociopathic and anti-worker, or to understand that it is irreformable in all its essentials. But the latest revelations certainly confirm that putting our hopes for change in the replacement of a few ruling-class puppets in Parliament or Downing Street is a futile activity.
We spoke about Peter Mandelson’s role in the Labour party, and the dangerous game being played by opponents who are keen to use the revelations for party-political point-scoring. A prolonged focus on the Epstein scandal might seem like a heaven-sent distraction from all the imperialist warmongering and looming economic catastrophe, but it could end up exposing and ruining not just a particular politician or party, but the whole system of bourgeois rule in the eyes of the people.
Along the way, we also asked why so many independent media commentators continue to repeat imperialist lies about Venezuela’s leadership having ‘sold out’ and the USA’s regime-change operation having been successful, although there is still no evidence to support such assertions and every reason to treat them as US psyop narratives.
Finally, we talked about why there is no way forward for humanity while this system continues to exist, and why, despite all its horrors, there are still some who fear the prospect of the ‘instability’ (ie, social upheaval) that will inevitably accompany the collapse, defeat and dismantlement of Anglo-American imperialism. Crocodile tears about the state of the deliberately run-down court system and the fate of poor victims who are waiting for years before their cases come to court have nothing to do with the abolition of juries for large numbers of criminal cases in Britain – a measure that was fast-tracked through parliament and passed into law in January.
By way of contrast, following the summer riots of 2011, the justice system faced an enormous backlog having mounted a huge operation and arrested large numbers of young people in short order. With Keir Starmer as director of public prosecutions (DPP), 24-hour court sittings were introduced, clearing thousands of cases in weeks.
Clearly, if the ruling class wants to clear a backlog it knows very well how to do so.

Any talk of an alliance, or “uniting the left”, means working alongside state-run bodies, Trots, pro-NATO liberals and openly anti-communist organisations. It means granting credibility and legitimacy to forces that have done more than most to sabotage the class struggle.
These groups are not a bulwark against reaction — they are one of its breeding grounds. Their confusion, moralism and constant retreat into liberal politics is precisely why British workers are so often pulled towards reactionary rhetoric in the first place.
We should treat these leftists (who are left of Imperialism, not opposed to it) no differently than the reactionaries themselves. Expose them for what they are: vital components of British capitalism, tasked with containing, redirecting and ultimately neutralising class consciousness.

It’s always the biggest egos who cry the loudest about being wronged when their opinions are challenged.
The people who demand constant validation are usually the first to fold when their opinions, or work, are challenged.
I find it so fucking revealing about a person's character. For some, the self always supersedes the collective. Their feelings outweigh facts. Their perception outweighs reality. One simple critique is treated as an attack because they’ve built their whole paper-thin identity around being right; any disagreement feels like persecution.
Maturity, political or personal, requires the opposite. It requires the ability to pause and ask: what if I’m wrong? Not because we enjoy self-doubt, but because growth can never come without questioning oneself.
The irony is that those who posture as independent thinkers often cannot tolerate independent thought directed at them. They speak endlessly about “free speech” or “open debate” until that freedom offends their own ego. Then suddenly it’s disrespect, betrayal, and hostility. A fragile ego that feeds upon adulation is incapable of accepting criticism.
If you’re not capable of accepting criticism, you're not capable of critical thought.

See below for yet more utterly ridiculous propaganda claims about Iran. Note the way the supposed ‘death toll’ of ‘pro-democracy protestors’ (Mossad agents) is being endlessly inflated and the lies uncritically repeated.
This is how the imperialists attempt to persuade us that absolutely unjustifiable aggressive war against a sovereign nation is somehow necessary and humane.
If you find this process sickening, just remember: this is exactly how Soviet historiograpy has worked for decades.
And the ultimate target of these lies was and remains YOU, the worker.
You must have no faith in your own ability to organise and get rid of your exploiters. Better stick with the devil you know, because if you win through to any kind of sovereignty and independence, your new government will set up machine-gun emplacements on street corners and shoot you down in droves.
How much longer are people going to keep falling for such nonsense? It’s time we learned to recognise these lies and understand their purpose.
In the words of Malcolm X:
“If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”

The Bloody Sunday in Aislingen - the beginning of fascist state terror.
The fascists had just come to power - on January 30, 1933, the "bald president" Hindenburg appointed the "Bohemian corporal" Hitler as Chancellor of Germany. (That's what they called each other behind their backs). At that time, the cabinet consisted of only three National Socialists: Adolf Hitler as Chancellor, Wilhelm Frick as Minister of the Interior, and Hermann Göring as Minister without Portfolio. Just two days later, on February 1, Hindenburg dissolved the Reichstag. The corresponding document was also signed by Hitler and Frick. In the following days, a stream of laws and decrees deprived the German people of almost all their basic constitutional rights. But the people of Germany were not yet broken, and the fascists needed a demonstrative terror.
And the first act of the tragedy took place on February 12, 1933. Eighteen days before the Reichstag fire and three weeks before the last elections, the Nazis staged a general rehearsal of terror, which is rarely remembered today.
On a Sunday in the center of the working-class city of Aislingen, an SS regiment under the command of Ludolf-German von Alvensleben (who would later become Himmler's chief adjutant and a punisher in the occupied territories of the USSR) held a parade: about 600 SS and SA men, armed with field equipment, including shovels, marched through Aislingen. This march was a demonstration of the fascists' strength and newfound self-confidence after the dissolution of the Reichstag and the seizure of power. Already during the parade, there were incidents involving residents of Aislingen who refused to salute the swastika flag. Communists who openly protested against the march were beaten up.
But this was not the end. Immediately after the parade, 600 stormtroopers and SS men moved towards the Ludwig Jahn gymnasium, located directly behind the KPD headquarters (Communist Party of Germany). There was a coming-of-age ceremony for the Union of Communist Youth Germany.
The SS and stormtroopers stormed into the gym. The adult participants in the ceremony surrounded the minors, trying to protect them. However, the invading crowd immediately opened fire on the participants of the ceremony and brutally beat them, even using the shovels.
As a result of the attack - 25 seriously injured, three killed young men: Otto Helm, Walter Schneider were killed on the spot, and the seriously injured Hans Seidel was taken to the miners' hospital and died the next day. He was disfigured beyond recognition. Many became disabled: for example, Bernhard Können, later the first secretary of the district committee of Halle of the SED (Socialist Unity Party of Germany) and a member of the State Council of the GDR, lost an eye.
The local NSDAP district leader Ludolf-German von Alvensleben led the crackdown.
Aislingen showed: the state no longer protects its citizens. The German media ignored the crime, and the authorities did not initiate criminal proceedings. The Nazis understood their impunity.
But HISTORY PUT EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE.
In 1949-50, a trial took place in the city of Halle (GDR). 31 participants in the Aislingen Bloody Sunday were brought to justice.
While in the western occupation zones many murderers served their sentences for several years or were not brought to justice at all, East Germany demonstrated: there is no statute of limitations for fascist terror, and retribution is inevitable.
P.S. In photo 1 - the graves of the fallen, in photo 2 - KPD members with their children in front of the Ludwig Jahn gymnasium in Aislingen.
