May 23, 2023: Red Hat turns its software supply chain practices into products

Trusted Software Supply Chain, an offering that consists of two new cloud services called Red Hat Trusted Application Pipeline and Red Hat Trusted Content

A 2022 analysis of more than 2,400 commercial code bases by Synopsys Inc. found that 97% contained open-source components and 81% had at least one vulnerability. Nearly nine in 10 applications included components that had not been updated in more than two years

Trusted Application Pipeline is based on Sigstore, an automated approach to digitally signing and checking software components to verify origins and authenticity that its developers say is nearly impossible to sabotage. Red Hat Trusted Content, which will be available as a service preview within a few weeks, will provide real-time knowledge of known vulnerabilities and security risks within open-source software dependencies. It will also suggest ways to minimize risk and provide access to Red Hat-built and curated open-source software using the company’s internal best practices

Noting that supply chain attacks have skyrocketed by more than 740% annually over the past three years, Red Hat said it will provide a catalog of more than 10,000 trusted packages that run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux alone as well as a catalog of critical application runtimes across Java, Node and Python ecosystems ➡️➡️ Red Hat will become the new global standard in supply chain software (I would also bet that Red Hat has been indirectly working with KillNet, Sudan, and other hackers to provide the impetus for this)

Red Hat is also launching Advanced Cluster Security Cloud Service that delivers security capabilities native to the Kubernetes software container orchestrator as a managed cloud service. Kubernetes are platforms that can manage SBOMs to protect against supply chain attacks. It supports Red Hat OpenShift on private and public clouds as well as Kubernetes services across major cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services Inc.’s Elastic Kubernetes Service, Google LLC’s Kubernetes Engine and Microsoft Corp.’s Azure Kubernetes Service

What is an SBOM? Software bill of materials explained

SBOMs are increasingly being used to protect against supply chain attacks and were cited in the Biden Administration’s May 2021 Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity as critical to securing software supply chains

Software bill of materials help vendors and buyers alike keep track of software components for better software supply chain security. Modern applications are often built on top of extensive code reuse, often using open source libraries. These applications are also increasingly broken into smaller, self-contained components of functionality known as containers, managed by container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and running locally or in the cloud

The 2020s so far have been marked by a string of headline-making software supply chain attacks. In late 2020, hackers affiliated with Russian intelligence managed to plant backdoors into a network monitoring platform from SolarWinds—a platform that is used in turn by other security products, all of which ended up compromised. And late in 2021, a severe vulnerability was discovered in a Apache Log4j, a Java library used for logging system events, which sounds boring until you realize that almost every Java application uses Log4j in some capacity, rendering them all targets

These security crises illustrate the role that an SBOM can serve in the security landscape

May 23, 2023: Red Hat unveils Ansible Lightspeed to empower AI-driven IT automation

Open-source solutions firm Red Hat today unveiled Ansible Lightspeed, a generative AI service integrated with IBM Watson Code Assistant

Red Hat utilizes natural language processing (NLP) to integrate the service with Watson Code Assistant, which is set to be available in the near future. Ansible Lightspeed allows users to rapidly construct automation code by harnessing IBM’s foundation models. According to the company, this integration offers a valuable solution for enterprises, as it addresses the skills gap and enhances efficiency, thereby expediting the time-to-value of automation

The foundation model optimized for NLP is the cornerstone of the collaboration between Red Hat and IBM, distinguishing Ansible Lightspeed from other tools

Furthermore, users can actively contribute to the model’s training by providing valuable feedback and ensuring continuous enhancements

💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Ansible automation within organizations will streamline task automation for beginners while freeing experienced automators from the arduous task of creating low-level tasks. It caters to users who have a deep understanding of what needs to be accomplished but lack the YAML proficiency to craft compliant and efficient playbooks independently ➡️➡️ therefore this removes iterative tasks and previously-required technical skills from the job requirement and frees up people to focus on creative solutions instead
💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

📝 This uses generative AI from IBM’s foundation model trained on a specific domain (Ansible), to help people create automation faster. Existing subject matter experts will be much more efficient by filling out a lot of the repetitive pieces of code as they’re creating an automation playbook, which is ultimately YAML code. This accelerates their ability to generate that a lot faster. Ansible Lightspeed makes existing subject matter experts far more efficient by doing a lot of the work for them
- Tom Anderson, VP and GM of Ansible told VentureBeat

May 23, 2023: Red Hat Summit 2023: The Biggest Announcements

Ansible Lightspeed with IBM Watson Code Assistant, the Red Hat Developer Hub and Red Hat Trusted Application Pipeline and Trusted Content are some of the biggest announcements to come out of Red Hat Summit 2023

Red Hat: 7,000 channel partners worldwide, 1,500 of them in North America
IBM: 55,000 channel partners worldwide, 12,000 of them in North America

(A channel partner is a company that partners with a manufacturer or producer to market and sell the manufacturer’s products, services, or technologies. This is usually done through a co-branding relationship)

June 2023, Red Hat will make an open beta available for Ansible Lightspeed with IBM Watson Code Assistant, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) service for Red Hat’s Ansible automation offering. Lightspeed promises more consistent, more accurate and faster automation adoption across organizations. It uses natural language processing and integrates with Watson Code Assistant to access IBM Foundation Models built on Red Hat OpenShift. Ansible users gain the ability to input prompts in plain English and more easily translate domain expertise into Yaml code for making and editing playbooks, according to Red Hat ➡️➡️ this sounds just like SEP11 which is one of the most significant developments in Stellar because SEP11 makes Stellar a truly Open Source DEX since anyone can use it to create and interpret transactions (like mint a token, send/receive/trade, audit the ledger, troubleshoot scripts, eventually even built smart contracts). This helps facilitate mass adoption but especially for businesses, education, non-profits, humanitarian projects, etc https://t.me/QuantumStellarInitiative/22642 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤 🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤

June 2023, Red Hat will roll out Event-Driven Ansible as part of Ansible Automation Platform 2.4. When it receives third-party tool events, it automatically determines next steps and acts. IT workers can pre-determine and define rules for unresponsive system processes, unauthorized access requests and other situations. Users can chain multiple events together. Users can manage dynamic cloud-native conditions for remediating system outages, security alerts and other service disruptions, according to the vendor. Password resets, compute and storage adjustments, service ticket augmentation, configuration drift addressing and backing up are some of the manual, error-prone tasks that Event-Driven Ansible seeks to reduce ➡️➡️ ML creates smart contracts for cybersecurity and IT teams, thereby automating their work

Cisco ThousandEyes, CyberArk, Dynatrace, F5, IBM Instana, IBM Turbonomic, Palo Alto Networks and Zabbix are some of the third-party tool integrations available for Event-Driven Ansible, and it also supports custom integrations. Kyndryl, World Wide Technology and other system integrators are already trained

🔤🔤🔤🔤 🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤

Service Interconnect is a way to connect apps and microservices across open hybrid cloud ➡️➡️ connects to Project Overledger + Quant which oversees governance on dApps

Trusted Application Pipeline and Trusted Content are two new services for the Trusted Software Supply Chain suite

🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤 🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤

Limited availability for Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) Cloud Service supports Red Hat OpenShift on private and public clouds as well as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Microsoft’s Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and other container platforms

🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤 🔤🔤 🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤

The upgrades include development pipelines for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) experiment tracking and automated ML workflows. OpenShift AI has optional offerings including Anaconda, IBM Watson Studio, Intel OpenVino and AI Analytics Toolkit, Nvidia AI Enterprise and Starburst

May 25, 2023: CEO Matt Hicks On Red Hat Layoffs, IBM’s Open Source Vision

📝 [Layoffs are] a healthy thing that you have to do every once in awhile to make sure you’re putting investment in the right areas that are going to help you keep being successful with customers

📝 Being really thoughtful about making sure you can invest in that opportunity is critical. So for us, it was a rebalancing move

📝 We’re in this moment of AI. We have this impact on developer and operations efficiency and security. We need to be able to put enough in engineering and in sales to be able to take advantage of that to help customers move forward and adopt that

📝 So I can’t speak to other companies of whether that was their stance, but that was our intent with it

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This interview confirms that the intent of integrating Red Hat automation at these cabal banks and companies is to transition to zero-employees and have all operations fully executing on blockchain governed by hybrid-cloud computing being monitored by IBM Hyperledger, Red Hat next gen apps, and white hat military alliance

DBS Singaporean bank was a successful beta for Red Hat's quantum scalability and interoperability

June 1, 2023: Transforming the Future of Banking Through Cloud and Open-Source Technologies

The banking sector has undergone a significant transformation thanks to the introduction of cloud and open-source technologies. Previously, banks relied on legacy systems and proprietary software, resulting in operations being siloed, scalability being limited, and high costs. However, with the advent of cloud and open-source technologies, banks can adopt a more agile and collaborative approach to innovation

Two significant aspects characterize DBS’s journey toward digital transformation:
- building an open ecosystem, which has helped create synergy between business processes and services
- DBS has become “digital to the core” by leveraging digital technology like multi-hybrid cloud adoption
➡️➡️ this is confirmation that DBS is using generative AI for automation and will be winding down the need for employees due to machine learning 🔥🔥🔥

DBS has set the foundation for growth and scalability by adopting a cloud-first strategy. The move to a hybrid, multi-cloud infrastructure has resulted in greater resiliency, scalability, and reduced infrastructure costs. DBS uses Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes to handle burst loads in the public cloud, enabling the bank to access native services provided by public cloud platforms unavailable on-premises

As DBS evolves into a different kind of bank, the organisation recognizes the need to do things differently in the operations area. By leveraging technology, DBS has enabled its operations staff to access systems from anywhere, performing their functions seamlessly as if they were in the office ➡️➡️ this is setting up the public narrative for a fully automated transition where staff is no longer needed 😬😊

DBS is currently in the experimentation phase with blockchain, tokenization, NFTs, and the metaverse ➡️➡️ think DBS Betterworld NFTs on Stellar (DBW https://t.me/QuantumStellarInitiative/15987)

🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The partnership between DBS and Red Hat exemplifies the potential of cloud and open-source technologies in revolutionizing the banking landscape and shaping the industry’s future

June 2, 2023: Building a high performance 5G network architecture with an open hybrid cloud

Latency, the enemy of speed, can be greatly reduced by moving the applications out of the data center and as close to the device or customer as possible—this is the edge (https://t.me/RedHatDecode/39 & https://t.me/RedHatDecode/40)

In addition to an evolving architecture, service provider networks are moving from virtual network function (VNF) deployments—typically software, virtual machine (VM)-based versions of proprietary hardware-based approaches—to cloud-native network functions (CNFs) that utilize container-based architectures and microservices ➡️➡️ this is Red Hat 🫶

Red Hat provides all the products and services necessary for a service provider to deploy a 5G core and RAN cloud platform in support of their 5G network transformation. Products, services and an enhanced support offering are aligned to a pre-integrated reference architecture that allows service providers to deploy a fully tested and interoperable solution. Additionally, Red Hat works closely with ecosystem partners to test and certify their network service workloads on this reference architecture ➡️➡️ by setting themselves up as the industry's gold standard, Red Hat becomes the default service every company uses for their migration to 5G 🔥🆒🔥

Red Hat services:
- Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes for cluster management and control
- Ansible Automation Platform for the implementation of automation
- Identity Management (part of Red Hat Enterprise Linux) for centralized identity and access control
- AMQ for application integration
- Satellite for system management and operations
- Quay for the registry and content repository and the service telemetry framework for the collection of monitoring data
- OpenShift Data Foundation for software-defined storage can also be included

OpenShift can be deployed in different footprints to meet demanding requirements in space and power-constrained environments. Regardless of which deployment option is chosen, the same consistent experience is maintained with the same set of tools ➡️➡️ covers all tech from outdated industrial equipment to retail mobile/home use devices to high tech and space equipment

June 5, 2023: Red Hat says it will drop LibreOffice from RHEL and Fedora

Open source vendor Red Hat has decided to drop the free office suite LibreOffice from its distributions — the commercial RHEL and the community Fedora offerings — as it is “short of developer hours to maintain the suite” (aka the public narrative is that packages for LibreOffice had already been orphaned, meaning that there was nobody maintaining and updating them)

But this is not true -- not at all!!! 😨 😱 😊

Behind the scenes, RH engineers are working to upgrade it as a longterm desktop app solution and have also invited another veteran ninja team (The Document Foundation) to take over the maintenance on LibreOffice, which announced on June 14 that its next major release will be in August and they are also hosting a conference in Bucharest in September. They also hinted at migrating everyone from Apache OpenOffice into LibreOffice 💣💥💥💥

So who is this other Veteran Ninja Team partnering with LibreOffice?

⚡️Thunderbird⚡️
the internet storm is coming...

Why is this important to pay attention to?

🙏 Libre = "Free"
🕊 Thunderbird = Mozilla = Firefox

More power to you: "Mozilla puts people before profit, creating products, technologies and programs that make the internet healthier for everyone"

Read The Mozilla Manifesto Addendum: Pledge for a Healthy Internet
Here is a snippet:

📝 The open, global internet is the most powerful communication and collaboration resource we have ever seen. It embodies some of our deepest hopes for human progress. It enables new opportunities for learning, building a sense of shared humanity, and solving the pressing problems facing people everywhere.

📝 Over the last decade we have seen this promise fulfilled in many ways. We have also seen the power of the internet used to magnify divisiveness, incite violence, promote hatred, and intentionally manipulate fact and reality. We have learned that we should more explicitly set out our aspirations for the human experience of the internet. We do so now

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Red Hat is stepping away from LibreOffice so LibreOffice can partner with Mozilla Foundation that is working on the same goals for a liberated people free from corruption, except they are doing it on desktop apps, whereas RH focuses on cloud and hybrid cloud computing!

So whether no matter which country, which device, which platform, which service provider, which products you use or which products you create, which servers, which anything... IBM via Red Hat & Mozilla have governance over it all....

IBM WorldWire = Global Governance Quantum Computer

Red Hat OpenStack Platform 17.1 will enable service providers to scale faster and maximize their resources through a virtualized control plane running on Red Hat OpenShift. This is designed to drive optimized network capacity and performance, greater efficiency and further simplify deployments at scale, allowing for the management of both 4G virtualized and 5G containerized workloads from the same environment ➡️➡️ this platform will upgrade all devices and services using its network to become ISO20022 compliant, therefore quantum compliant ⚡️⚡️⚡️

service providers can now delay the RHEL compute nodes reboot to a later stage ➡️➡️ this means white hats can finish the upgrades but decide when they want to reboot all the servers at a later time to control the public narrative 🔥🔥🔥

June 13, 2023: Red Hat Announces Coming Availability of OpenStack Platform 17.1

Domain Name System as a Service (DNSaaS), also known as Designate, which includes a REST API for domain and record management, is multi-tenanted, and integrates with OpenStack Identity Service (keystone) for authentication ➡️➡️ 🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤 🔤🔤🔤🔤 🔑

DNSaaS includes a framework for integration with Compute (nova) and OpenStack Networking (neutron) notifications, allowing auto-generated DNS records ➡️➡️ these auto generated DNS could be paired with Deloitte's ATOM auto asset generation (example: swisscustody, indus, wrapped assets) and could be tied to 🧀🍰 cheesecake for minting future legitimate assets or upgrading older ones (like updating TOMLs and domains, etc) ⚡️🆒⚡️

Open Virtual Networking (OVN) capabilities to innovate network infrastructure services and quality of service metering, providing for bandwidth measurement in specific functions. These new capabilities also help improve OVN migration time for large scale deployments within maintenance windows + Octavia load balancer to further scalability by increasing the number of connections that can be directed simultaneously ➡️➡️ large scale deployments and improved metering ➡️➡️ upscaling and upgrading to quantum bandwidth to become ISO20022 compliant

OpenStack has been the open source private cloud that provides a public sector stack with a greater security posture. Red Hat OpenStack Platform 17.1 continues this approach with a number of key systems and network security enhancements aimed at helping service providers’ ability to exert control over their own digital infrastructure, data and technology. Red Hat OpenStack Platform is an adaptable solution for these projects, built on an open source software foundation that Red Hat has been practicing for more than 25 years

Federation through OpenID Connect to use an external identity provider (IdP) to manage user authentication and authorization ➡️➡️ this can be tied to our Stellar Federation address via "Stellar Federation Protocol" which maps Stellar addresses to an email-like identifier. Federated addresses provide an easy way for us to share payment details by using a syntax that interoperates across different domains and providers

June 14, 2023: DSO National Laboratories Collaborates with Red Hat to Advance DSO’s Defense Research and Development Efforts

DevSecOps, an IT approach that combines DEVelopment, OPerations and system SECurity practices, encompasses culture, automation, and platform design, integrating security considerations as a shared responsibility throughout the entire IT lifecycle

Using Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Device Edge (early access) in addition to Red Hat training services, organizations like DSO can tap enterprise open source software to enhance automation processes and bridge old and new IT systems to deliver timely, mission-critical applications and services ➡️➡️ Singapore military to beta test this because they were one of the first large scale adopters of Stellar rails via Project Inthanon-LionRock that was renamed to mBRIDGE (think 🅱️🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠 Multiple CBDCs across countries with commercial banks https://t.me/QuantumStellarInitiative/17955) and also because Singapore launched "AI Verify Foundation" to set the AI roadmap (https://t.me/RedHatDecode/25)

Red Hat Device Edge delivers enterprise-ready, lightweight Kubernetes container orchestrations, building on the MicroShift project to support different use cases and workloads on small, resource-constrained devices at the farthest edge Along with the Integration of technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, this is intended to help DSO further extend container applications to even more remote areas running on resource constrained devices ➡️➡️ this ensures interoperability with even older, more limited equipment like old/outdated phones, laptops/computers, tablets (aka devices that us normal people have instead of the fancy tech that people in the cybersec/IT fields have access to) + old industrial equipment that is rarely ever replaced like the ones used in farming, weather monitors, airports and airplanes, logistics and transportation, etc

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
By integrating and upgrading these older technologies, the devices can communicate and interact over the Internet while being monitored and controlled remotely, such as with Hyperledger for Protocol 20 quantum matrix development of smart tech for smart cities, smart agriculture, smart healthcare monitoring, etc

June 15, 2023: Red Hat looks to next-gen applications (such as AI) with investments today

Red Hat launched OpenShift in 2011 by essentially layering Kubernetes on top of RHEL, and what was once viewed as an enterprise Kubernetes product has evolved into a modern application platform, supported by a series of plug-ins and control plane capabilities that add inherent value over traditional Kubernetes runtimes

With AI promising to unlock a new wave of applications and related business opportunities, Red Hat will use its expertise in productizing open-source technology to help customers build and manage intelligent applications ➡️➡️ this is how you organically matriculate Stellar clients into Project Overledger / Quant 🟡🟡🟡

💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲
Red Hat is not trying to create the next AI algorithm, but rather is aiming to be the platform that helps customers build and run AI models ➡️➡️ not reinventing the wheel but becoming the trusted, household brand everyone uses because it's easier for novices and flexible/scalable/customizable for veterans (therefore it becomes the global standard and has a monopoly, making it easier for governance)
💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲

One of Red Hat’s true marks of success has stemmed from the company’s ability to go to market as a neutral DevOps platform that is compatible with all leading cloud platforms and even makes its services, including the new Developer Hub, available on Kubernetes platforms outside OpenShift. This position has allowed Red Hat to evolve its relationships with the major hyperscalers, offering natively integrated cloud services, including Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) and Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO)

What is Edge Computing?

According to IBM: Sending all that device-generated data to a centralized data center or to the cloud causes bandwidth and latency issues. Edge computing offers a more efficient alternative; data is processed and analyzed closer to the point where it's created. Because data does not traverse over a network to a cloud or data center to be processed, latency is significantly reduced. Edge computing — and mobile edge computing on 5G networks — enables faster and more comprehensive data analysis, creating the opportunity for deeper insights, faster response times and improved customer experiences

🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒
This means reducing the lag between generating information (from us, the users), collecting, analyzing, and then executing decisions. Technically speaking, we are upgrading all devices across all networks to communicate faster and make decisions more efficiently and effectively

This also means deploying AIML to make decisions for us based either on our learned behaviors (generative AI) or predefined rules (like CBDC or SEP40 smart contracts)

Just like how ISO20022 messaging standards are taking financial services and payment settlement times from T+3 down to T-0, Edge Computing is the eventual Zero-Point or Zero-Day data bridge to help 3d humanity ascend into 5d consciousness so that, collectively, all of humanity can one day in the future become telepathic and telekinetic

In other words, this is gradually helping us achieve Quantum Oneness through Quantum Computing and Quantum Entanglement
💫
