๐จ๐ณ Meet Atlas: China's drone swarm turns one soldier into an airborne armada
๐ China has publicly showcased the work of its state-of-the-art drone swarm system "Atlas" for the first time. Whatโs known about the weapon?
๐ง๐ปโ๐ป Mass drone control by single operator
The Atlasโ most jaw-dropping feature is that a single command vehicle โ the Swarm-2 - can coordinate up to 96 drones at once, effectively turning one operator into the controller of an entire airborne formation.
๐ฅ High-density launch capability
The Swarm-2 can carry and deploy 48 fixed-wing drones, launching one UAV every 3 seconds. This ensures safe spacing, stable flight paths, and rapid buildup of swarm mass in the air without collisions.
๐ค AI-powered swarm intelligence
Each drone is equipped with algorithm-driven โsmart brainโ capabilities โ enabling communication, data sharing, and autonomous positional adjustments. The swarm behaves as a coordinated system rather than individual units.
๐งฉ Expanded battlefield applications
๐ The Atlas system supports multiple modern combat roles, including:
๐ถ saturation attacks to overwhelm enemy air defenses from multiple directions
๐ถ precision strikes with loitering capability and higher accuracy than traditional munitions
๐ถ deep-strike missions using low-altitude, low-signature penetration over long distances
โก๏ธRapid swarm formation
Dozens of high-speed drones can form dense, coordinated formations within seconds. They can also automatically adapt to airflow disturbances and avoid mid-air collisions โ critical for operating at scale.

๐บ๐ธ The USA is deploying nuclear microreactors at key air bases
The US Air Force has identified air bases Buckley (Colorado, USA) and Malmstrom (Montana, USA) as priority sites for deploying nuclear microreactors as part of the ANPI (Advanced Nuclear Power for Installations) program.
The program is being implemented jointly with the Defense Innovation Unit (Mountain View, California, USA) and involves the deployment of commercial microreactors, which will be built, operated, and maintained by private contractors.
The choice of bases is due to their infrastructure, availability of space, and critical role in the defense system. Buckley provides space and reconnaissance operations, while Malmstrom is one of the key bases for intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The reactors are expected to be deployed by 2030 or earlier. Their task is to ensure autonomous and sustainable energy supply to facilities, eliminating dependence on civilian power grids.

โ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ณ ๐บ๐ฟ Anti-terrorist exercise of India and Uzbekistan โDustlik-7โ
From April 12 to 25, the 7th series of bilateral military maneuvers โDustlik-7โ (DUSTLIK-VII) between India and Uzbekistan is being held.
The opening ceremony took place at the Gurumsarai training ground (Namangan, Uzbekistan).
The exercise is aimed at strengthening the interaction of the ground forces and air forces of the two countries in the conditions of operations in a semi-urbanized area.
The Indian contingent includes 60 soldiers of the Mahar infantry regiment battalion, as well as units of the Indian Air Force. From the Uzbek side โ soldiers of the ground forces and air forces of Uzbekistan.
๐ทโDustlikโ is an annual Indian-Uzbek initiative, alternating between the countries. The previous exercise was held in April 2025 in Pune (Maharashtra state, India).
The main theme of the exercises is joint actions in the conditions of conducting sub-conventional operations: territory capture, organization of a joint action center at the battalion level, population control, raids, mop-up operations, use of air assets.

India's Nibe Limited has rolled out the first 300 km-range Precise and Universal Launching System (PULS) multiple rocket launcher (MRL), designated Suryastra, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced.
According to the MoD, the ceremonial roll-out of Suryastra took place on 23 May and was overseen by Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh in Shirdi, Maharashtra. The MoD said Singh also inaugurated Nibe's defence production facility on the same day.The MoD said the new complex is designed to produce artillery systems, missile and space technologies, rocket systems, energetic materials, and autonomous defence platforms.
During the two-day testing period, the system demonstrated high accuracy across short, medium, and long distances. Data from the Chandipur trials confirmed the systemโs precision strike capabilities, achieving a Circular Error Probable (CEP) of 1.5 metres for 150 km rockets and 2.0 metres for 300 km rockets. CEP measures the radius within which 50% of munitions are expected to land.
According to the defence firm, attaining a CEP of under two metres at distances up to 300 km positions the Suryastra among the most accurate long-range rocket artillery systems globally. This capability enables the Indian Army to target high-value objectives with minimal collateral damage. The Suryastra system bridges the capability gap between traditional field artillery and heavy ballistic missiles, offering a flexible, rapid-response, and cost-effective precision weapon system suited to modern battlefield requirements.
Suryastra rockets are Precise & Universal Launching System (PULS) rockets originally developed by Israeli company Elbit Systems. They are now planned for manufacture in India through a partnership with the Nibe Group. It is developed by Pune-based NIBE Limited in collaboration with Israelโs Elbit Systems. It is mounted on a highly mobile 6ร6 Tatra truck.

๐จ๐จ๐ณ Chinese scientists unveil โkill-them-allโ drone swarm algorithm
The new algorithm enables fixed-wing drone fleets to autonomously search vast battlefields and eliminate every single enemy, Chinese media reports.
๐ธ Decision speed stands at 6.6 milliseconds, while old methods take seconds, letting a drone fly 600 meters blind
๐ธ Smart web uses a "heterogeneous graph" tagging friends, foes and terrain as distinct nodes, ending confusion
๐ธ Memory under jamming: each drone has a special memory module to remember where enemies were last seen when links are cut
๐ธ Hierarchical brain breaks down decisions into clear layers, first choosing whether to search or strike, then selecting a specific target, and finally calculating how much ammunition to use
This points to a future where drone swarms are cut off from human command with a single final order: find and kill them all.
