I know that once Oยฒ levels dropped the large dinosaurs struggled & were on the way out, even if k2 didn't happen 65m years ago. They needed the high Oยฒ to power the large frames. This in turn came from high COยฒ levels or plant food as you say. I have COยฒ & Oยฒ level graphs (random selection) over the past 500m yes. Have a look and see what they tell you.

Nice info as usual A!! How do ppms relate to % of atmos?? Am I right in saying, 10k ppm CO2 = 1% CO2 in atmos.. and 1k ppm O2 = 1% O2 in atmos.... or am I off the mark???

It's a little tricky as the atomic size and occupied space or density of the volume determine %. The % of air at ground level is the same as the top of Everest, but the density of air is much much less. It's about 35% of that at sea level.
