Among the photos of late Qing dynasty Beijing, we found a photo of a non-standard tower - a classic Chinese roof resting on a huge, massive building with thick walls. By the way, the photos, to the misfortune of historians, were signed - Tower of the Tartarian Walls.

And where, excuse me, the wall itself? It is frightening to imagine how big it must have been, if one of its towers looks like an armored wall. How was such a miracle erected, and why is the roof of the ancient building overgrown with shrubs?

"The Magi are a very peculiar race, different entirely from the Egyptian priests, and indeed from all other men whatsoever. The Egyptian priests make it a point of religion not to kill any live animals except those which they offer in sacrifice. The Magi, on the contrary, kill animals of all kinds with their own hands, excepting dogs and men. They even seem to take a delight in the employment, and kill, as readily as they do other animals, ants and snakes, and such like flying or creeping things. However, since this has always been their custom, let them keep to it. Buying and selling in a marketplace is a custom unknown to the Persians, who never make purchases in open marts, and indeed have not in their whole country a single market-place."

"...and nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language..." Thus God established segregation among men of all the earth. In changing their speech He at the same time created a strong resentment to act as an adversary between different races and nations for the purpose of helping them and to cause them to keep themselves separated from each other. In so doing, they would thereby keep God's segregation and commandments. But Satan and wicked men have bound themselves together (as in all other things concerning God), and by their false teaching in the name of God have made an attempt to defeat the cause and the Tower of Babel... "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith... For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts..."

Leabhar na nGenealach (The Book of Genealogies) is a monumental 17th century genealogical work compiled by Dubhaltach Mac Fhirbhisigh. Covers Irish lineages back to ancient period.

'By far the largest and fullest body of Irish genealogical lore' according to Eoin MacNeill.

"His book is, perhaps, the greatest national genealogical compilation in the world... he neither received nor expected reward from any one,.. he wrote (as he himself says), simply for the enlightenment of his countrymen, the honour of his country, and the glory of God"
