The Day Mountbatten Died (2019)
On 27 August 1979, Lord Mountbatten, great uncle to Prince Charles, was blown up at sea by the IRA off the west coast of the Republic of Ireland. Three others were killed on the boat that day, including two teenage boys. Later that afternoon, in a second strike, the IRA killed 18 British soldiers, across the border in Northern Ireland.
Forty years on, this is the story of that remarkable Bank Holiday Monday - movingly told by those directly affected by it.

IAN PAISLEY - KINCORA BOY'S HOME COVER-UP SCANDAL
The Kincora Boys' Home was a boys' home in Belfast, Northern Ireland that was the scene of serious organised child sexual abuse, causing a scandal and attempted cover-up in 1980, with allegations of state collusion.
Ian Paisley, leader of the Democratic Unionist Party and moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church which he founded in 1951, was accused of failing to report McGrath's abuse to the relevant authorities. He initially denied ever being advised by his informant, a church member, Valerie Shaw, that it was taking place. Paisley later gave other versions acknowledging learning from Shaw about McGrath's homosexuality.

Ireland's Greatest; Michael Collins
Michael Collins (the Big Fellow) was born in Clonakilty, Co. Cork on the 16th October 1890.
A foot-soldier in the 1916 Rising, during the War of Independence (1919-1921) he became director of intelligence of the I.R.A., which debilitated the British intelligence system through an effective Irish network of spies and armed agents. Michael Collins was a member of the delegation that negotiated the Anglo-Irish Treaty of the 6th December 1921 which established the 26 county Irish Free State. After reluctantly signing the treaty, he said to Lord Birkenhead 'I may have signed my actual death warrant'. In January 1922, Michael Collins became the Chairman of the Irish provisional government.
Following ratification of the Treaty, the Irish government split into pro and anti-Treaty camps. A vicious civil war (1922-23) followed with Collins acting as Commander-in-chief of the pro-Treaty army. The anti-Treaty movement was led by รamon de Valera. The Civil War was even more violent t

RTร Investigates; Corrupt Irish Politicians (2015)
The programme features undercover footage of a journalist posing as a wind farm investor seeking help from three politicians. It shows the politicians agreeing to help in return for money, or in one case, a possible loan in the future.
The programme is by the RTร Investigations Unit which says it examined the declared interests of every single politician in the country, and looked for interests that were not made public.
