The Kilnasaggart Stone, dating to around 700 AD, is considered the oldest dateable Christian stone monument in Ireland, marked with crosses and a Latin inscription.
It stands near Jonesborough in County Armagh, on an ancient road that ran from Tara in County Meath to Dunseverick Head on the North Antrim Coast.
The stone, possibly a remnant of an ancient monastery or other structure, is thought to mark the location of a holy site, perhaps dating back to the days of druid and pagan worship.
