A photo of the neolithic carved 'ritual object' found at the west entrance of Knowth during excavations there. No one knows what it is, or was used for, but archaeologists have generally referred to it as a 'phallic' object. Something similar, though undecorated, was found in the oval setting outside Newgrange. I believe a number of similar objects have been found in Spain or Portugal.

I thought it might be interesting to throw it out there and see if anyone has any suggestions as to what it may have been used for? Image from Excavations at Knowth Volume 6.
