The Ludovisi Gaul is an ancient Roman statue depicting a Gaulish man or Galatian Celt plunging a sword into his breast in an attempt to commit suicide as he holds up the dying body of his wife who he has just killed he looks away ashamed of his defeat. The statue is a Roman copy of the early second century AD, of a Greek original, ca 230-20 BC. The original bronzes may have been commissioned by Attalus I to celebrate his victory over the Galatian Celts or Gaulish People.

Artistic reconstruction of The Black Pigโs Dyke (Irish: Claรญ na Muice Duibhe), a large system of bank and ditch barriers built across the northern part of Ireland; illustration by Phillip Armstrong. ๐ฎ๐ช
These enigmatic earthworks were built across several stretches of land, with large gaps existing in between; the largest section (10.3 km) is located in county Longford. Most of the radiocarbon samples have yielded dates of 390-370 B.C. The purpose of these structures is not well understood; perhaps the most plausible theory is that they were defensive earthworks meant to hamper the movement of marauding armies and cattle rustlers. The large gaps in between each section may be explainable as forested and boggy areas where manmade defences were thought unnecessary. The discontinuous line of earthworks seems to loosely correspond to the borders of the ancient province of Ulster. This would seem to corroborate the accounts of Irish literature (i.e. the โUlster Cycleโ), which described continuous warfare between the peoples Ulster and the neighboring provinces, particularly the Connachta.

IMPORTANT
On 8 June 2023, the European Council agreed to "modernise" the EU asylum & migration process, with this "modernisation" including:
1) The scrapping of the Dublin III Regulations - which provide that first Member State where fingerprints are stored or an asylum claim lodged is responsible for a personโs asylum claim - noting that these regs benefit Ireland more than most given our geographical location
2) The implementation of a "new solidarity mechanism", which will include relocation, financial contributions or deploying of personnel to build capacity etc. Note cost to "relocate" asylum seeker is to be set at โฌ20,000 per head
I discussed some of this in a video last Feb
This new agreement will still have to be voted upon given Dublin III Regulations are currently law. This is one area where significant lobbying will be needed, otherwise we will be forced to accept asylum applicants depending on our population size & GDP, or pay โฌ20,000 pp that we do not wish to accept or cannot accommodate

Tara: Voices from Our Past - a recent discovery
a short film by Mairรฉid Sullivan
Over the past decade there has been considerable controversy regarding construction of the M3 Motorway through the Tara Valley, especially in light of the discoveries at Roestown and more recently Lismullin. While those finds are extremely significant, they pale in comparison to a more recent discovery at Tara.
This short film by the award winning documentary filmmaker and musician, Mairรฉid Sullivan, shows that the complexity and importance of The Hill of Tara goes well beyond what we've known about the site
for the past few millennia.

1916- we proclaimed to be a republic. 1919 - we declaired to be a republic by setting up a government in the mansion house and it was called dรกla รฉiReann. In 1922 we were signed back to britain by means of an ACT not a constitution but an act, where there were two Dominons created under the crown ( Two statelets, they were renting them for 99 years, sort of like what they did with hongcong.) called Northern Ireland and soairstat na รฉiReann Freestate of Ireland or the republic of Ireland... Loosing the Irish republic for a stint..? But all done, without the consent of our people and all still with an oath to the british monarch... then in 1936, something extraordinary happen... the king of england, because he wasnt allowed to marry his sweetheart, an america reporter... because she wasnt a monarc, he abdacated his position as king, ( meaning All these acts where finished) then in 1937 de valaira as head of state, held a peoples referendum or plebcite and our people voted ( whole island, it was open to 32 counties for the first time in irish history) and we voted for a 63 article "primary Law" for our land written in our own indiginous text clรณ gaรฉlac for the people and by the people.. bunreact na hรฉiReann. bun (primary) react (law) with No sitting king... and we name our land, The Irish republic of รฉiRe. Making us a constitutional republic, by the people for the people... then of course, our history got clouded... becuae when a new monarc was ordained, รฉiRe somehow, was given the name the republic of Ireland, our 6 counties had been kept by england, though our constitution, therefor our law, clearly states in our language, รฉiRe to be a 32 county territory along with its seas and other islands... Our thousands of years old text, was changed from clรณ gaรฉlac irish to a ROMAN font irish and was written into a blue book called BUNREACHT NA hEIREANN ( which they and google and all these others , claim to be the 1937) when it is NOT, this blue book started its life in 1942, ( all of these things done, without a peoples referendum) and our real bun (primary) react ( law) states that NO other constitution can be put in its place. if so... it is NULL and VOID... this is all FACT. so รฉiReannaig. what happened on our island since 1937 and how was all this allowed to happen..? becuae if you want out of this madness and i mean really out of this crazy, ( as รฉiRe, never signed up to any acts) then you need to start using your voice, reading YOUR original and only Irish constitution and demanding they explain their actions....
