Verona Murphy TD was one of the invited speakers and least anyone forget or be unaware: Verona Murphy voted in favour of a great number of the Covid-19 laws. I will forever hold her in contempt for this and there is literally nothing she can do and no cause she can now stand for, that would make me change my mind. She voted in and continued to vote in favour of laws which decimated the hard won freedoms of Irish people. There is no redemption for what she did. Action and Consequence. Many, if not everyone in the room in Athlone today were unaware of this. Luckily I did up a spreadsheet at the time which easily allows me to track these TDs. The other TD who attended was Michael Fitzmaurice, who voted overwhelmingly against the Covid-19 law.
