Promotores da Alemanha apresentaram acusações contra sete suspeitos de ligação com o grupo terrorista Hamas por um suposto plano de ataques em Berlim e Viena, previsto para acontecer próximo ao segundo aniversário do massacre de 7 de outubro.

Segundo as autoridades, o plano mirava representantes israelenses, judeus e pessoas pró-Israel. Os suspeitos teriam agido sob ordens de figuras de alto escalão do Hamas.

Quando foram presos, três dos acusados estavam em posse de um rifle automático, 13 pistolas e cerca de 700 munições, segundo a acusação. Os sete seguem detidos, enquanto outro suspeito de liderar a operação foi preso em Londres e ainda aguarda extradição.

A inteligência interna alemã afirmou que o caso mostra uma tentativa do Hamas, ou de indivíduos ligados ao grupo, de estabelecer redes logísticas clandestinas na Europa para obter armas e planejar ataques.

O Hamas não é apenas uma ameaça para Israel. É uma organização terrorista transnacional, que transforma judeus, israelenses e apoiadores de Israel em alvos também fora do Oriente Médio.

Across Gaza, Hamas has turned hospitals into military assets - storing weapons in supply rooms, running command centers from basements and sub-levels, and digging tunnel networks beneath the wards where the sick and wounded are being treated. Ambulances have been used to transport fighters and weapons. Ammunition has been found stashed next to medical equipment.

By operating from hospitals, Hamas puts its own people at risk each and every day.

A hospital is a promise of safety. Hamas broke that promise.

Durante Rosh Hashaná, o ano novo judaico, uma mulher de 43 anos foi atacada na madrugada de sexta-feira (12), no centro de Berlim, por usar um colar com a Estrela de Davi, símbolo judaico.

Segundo a polícia, dois homens perceberam o colar, dirigiram insultos antissemitas contra ela e um deles a agrediu com uma garrafa de vidro quebrada.

A vítima tentou se defender e sofreu cortes em uma das mãos. Ela recebeu atendimento no local e foi levada ao hospital. Os suspeitos fugiram e ainda não foram presos.

A investigação foi transferida para a divisão de Segurança do Estado da Polícia Criminal de Berlim, responsável por casos com possível motivação política, extremista ou antissemita.

Segundo a Rolling Stone, o rapper Macklemore foi removido da turnê de Ed Sheeran na segunda-feira (14), após transformar sua participação como artista de abertura em um ato político anti-Israel.

A manifestação aconteceu durante os shows de Ed Sheeran no MetLife Stadium, em Nova Jersey, nos dias 4 e 5 de setembro. No palco, Macklemore gritou “Free Palestine”, acusou Israel de “apartheid” e “genocídio” e apresentou a música “Hind’s Hall” com imagens de Gaza e mensagens políticas exibidas nos telões.

Após a repercussão, Ed Sheeran se pronunciou nesta segunda-feira (14) e deixou claro que seus shows são pensados como um espaço de música, união e diversão para o público, não como um ambiente de conflito político. O cantor também destacou que acredita no diálogo e na diplomacia como caminhos diante da dor vivida por israelenses e palestinos.

Em sua declaração, Ed afirmou: “O sofrimento e a dor causados a ambos os lados [israelenses e palestinos] constituem uma tragédia humana. Há guerras demais pelo mundo causando dor imensurável; nenhuma delas deveria ser tolerada.”

A postura de Ed Sheeran importa. Em um momento em que tantos artistas transformam palcos em espaços de radicalização e slogans unilaterais, ele escolheu uma mensagem de responsabilidade, empatia e equilíbrio.

Jewish students at Wilfrid Laurier University returned from celebrating Rosh Hashanah to find mezuzahs on their residence doors smashed and torn down.

Smashing mezuzahs in a university residence is an act of hate and intimidation. Taking place at the beginning of a new school year and during a High Holiday makes this even more disturbing.

No student should ever have to experience this. Wilfrid Laurier University, like every Canadian campus, must be a safe place for students to openly express their identities without fear.

No entanto, a gerente de Educação da StandWithUs Brasil, Hana Nusbaum, explica que a jovem, na realidade, foi vítima.

Anne ficou confinada por mais de dois anos, com sua família, em um esconderijo em Amesterdã para não ser encontrada pelos nazistas. Ali, escreveu o diário.

Em 1944, ela e seus familiares foram encontrados e deportados para campos de concentração. Aos 15 anos, Anne morreu em um deles, de tifo.

Anne não foi vitimista, foi vítima. Vítima de um regime que decidiu que ela não tinha direito a uma vida normal, simplesmente por ser judia.
