A quinta temporada de “Fauda”, focada no impacto do massacre de 7 de outubro de 2023, chegou ao 1º lugar na Netflix do Líbano, país que não mantém relações diplomáticas com Israel e vive diretamente os efeitos do conflito entre Israel e o grupo terrorista Hezbollah.
A série também provocou forte repercussão internacional após dedicar episódios ao ataque terrorista em que o grupo terrorista Hamas invadiu Israel, assassinou civis e sequestrou reféns para a Faixa de Gaza.
Os episódios 7 e 8, focados diretamente no massacre, receberam nota 9,3 no IMDb e geraram uma onda de reações nas redes sociais. Em apenas um dia na Netflix, a série já aparecia em 7º lugar entre as 10 mais assistidas em 43 países.

A nova temporada tem 11 episódios e foi reescrita por Lior Raz e Avi Issacharoff após o massacre de 7 de outubro. Parte da trama se passa dois anos depois do ataque, lidando com o trauma, a dor e as consequências da guerra.

Born in 1919 in Turek, Poland, he survived the Lodz Ghetto, Auschwitz, and Nazi forced labor camps. He made aliyah in 1950 - and then, in 1978, he went back to Poland.
Not to forget. To remember.
For decades, he dedicated his life to locating, documenting, and restoring Jewish cemeteries and graves across Poland - identifying over 3,000 burial sites and preserving the memory of communities that were wiped from the earth.
In 2012, he was chosen to light a torch at Israel's official Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony.
He survived the worst humanity had to offer - and spent the rest of his life making sure the world would never forget those who didn't.

Segundo a Rolling Stone, o rapper Macklemore foi removido nesta segunda-feira (14) das datas restantes da turnê de Ed Sheeran nos Estados Unidos, após transformar sua participação como artista de abertura em um ato político anti-Israel.
A manifestação aconteceu durante apresentações no MetLife Stadium, em Nova Jersey, na sexta-feira (5) e no sábado (6). No palco, Macklemore gritou “Free Palestine”, acusou Israel de “apartheid” e “genocídio” e apresentou a música “Hind’s Hall” com imagens de Gaza, protestos pró-Palestina e mensagens políticas exibidas nos telões.
O episódio ocorre em meio a um histórico de polêmicas envolvendo antissemitismo. Em 2014, Macklemore se apresentou usando uma fantasia com nariz falso, barba e peruca, visual amplamente criticado por reproduzir estereótipos negativos sobre judeus. Na época, ele negou intenção antissemita e pediu desculpas.
A produtora Messina Touring Group, responsável pela etapa americana da turnê, afirmou que foi informada por locais das próximas apresentações de que eles não permitiriam a realização dos shows com Macklemore no line-up. Segundo a empresa, isso poderia levar ao cancelamento da turnê e afetar centenas de milhares de fãs.
Liberdade de expressão não significa ausência de consequência. Um show de música não deveria virar palanque para propaganda unilateral contra Israel, ainda mais vindo de um artista que já carregava um histórico de controvérsias sobre antissemitismo.

Promotores da Alemanha apresentaram acusações contra sete suspeitos de ligação com o grupo terrorista Hamas por um suposto plano de ataques em Berlim e Viena, previsto para acontecer próximo ao segundo aniversário do massacre de 7 de outubro.
Segundo as autoridades, o plano mirava representantes israelenses, judeus e pessoas pró-Israel. Os suspeitos teriam agido sob ordens de figuras de alto escalão do Hamas.
Quando foram presos, três dos acusados estavam em posse de um rifle automático, 13 pistolas e cerca de 700 munições, segundo a acusação. Os sete seguem detidos, enquanto outro suspeito de liderar a operação foi preso em Londres e ainda aguarda extradição.
A inteligência interna alemã afirmou que o caso mostra uma tentativa do Hamas, ou de indivíduos ligados ao grupo, de estabelecer redes logísticas clandestinas na Europa para obter armas e planejar ataques.
