A marca norte-americana de moda Ralph Lauren vem sofrendo pedidos de boicote por parte de usuários das redes sociais, após compartilhar, na terça-feira (8), em sua conta oficial do Instagram, fotos da atriz israelense Gal Gadot, de um ensaio para a capa da revista Modern Luxury.

Na conta, que tem cerca de 16 milhões de seguidores, Gal aparece usando um vestido dourado e sapatos de salto alto da coleção Outono 2026 da Ralph Loren, com a legenda: "A atriz Gal Gadot brilha na capa da Modern Luxury".

A homenagem à atriz, no entanto, recebeu uma enxurrada de comentários antissemitas e apelos de boicote à marca.

A hostilidade ocorre apesar de a Ralph Lauren não ter feito, na publicação, nenhuma declaração política sobre Israel ou a Faixa de Gaza. Além disso, embora criticar políticas do governo israelense seja legítimo, atacar uma pessoa ou empresa por associação com Israel ou com o sionismo não é.

Há também uma ironia: aqueles que pregam o boicote à marca por sua associação com Gal Gadot se esquecem que Ralph Lauren é, ele próprio, judeu.

Os acordos foram firmados entre Israel 🇮🇱 e a Organização para a Libertação da Palestina (OLP), liderada por Yasser Arafat, em um processo mediado pelos Estados Unidos 🇺🇸.

Israel 🇮🇱 reconheceu a OLP como representante do povo palestino. A OLP, por sua vez, reconheceu o direito de Israel existir em paz e segurança e renunciou ao terrorismo e à violência.

🤝 Não era o fim do conflito. Era uma tentativa concreta de resolvê-lo.

Oslo abriu caminho para o autogoverno palestino em partes da Faixa de Gaza e da Cisjordânia/Judeia e Samaria.

Fronteiras, Jerusalém e refugiados deveriam ser negociados posteriormente, com a perspectiva de um acordo definitivo de paz.

Mas o processo de paz sofreu enormes golpes. Em 2007, o grupo terrorista Hamas tomou o poder na Faixa de Gaza.

O Hamas nunca reconheceu o direito de Israel 🇮🇱 existir e construiu sua atuação sobre a rejeição da convivência pacífica com o Estado judeu.

Os Acordos de Oslo não trouxeram a paz que muitos esperavam. Mas deixaram uma lição que continua atual:

Israel 🇮🇱 já mostrou que está disposto a negociar.

🕊️ Paz exige concessões, reconhecimento mútuo e parceiros dispostos a viver lado a lado.

Em um painel em Londres, Avi Issacharoff, jornalista israelense e co-criador de “Fauda”, criticou o ator Mark Ruffalo por repetir acusações de “genocídio” contra Israel durante a guerra contra o grupo terrorista Hamas.

Segundo Issacharoff, Ruffalo usa uma palavra gravíssima sem compreender seu significado. “Você entende o que significa ‘genocídio’?”, questionou o co-criador da série, ao rebater a interpretação do ator sobre o conflito.

Issacharoff também afirmou que Israel permite diariamente a entrada de centenas de caminhões com alimentos e suprimentos na Faixa de Gaza, argumento usado por ele para contestar a acusação de que o país teria intenção de exterminar palestinos.

A fala acontece em meio ao lançamento da 5ª temporada de “Fauda”, disponível na Netflix desde terça-feira (8). A nova temporada foi reescrita após o massacre de 7 de outubro de 2023, quando o Hamas invadiu Israel, assassinou cerca de 1.200 pessoas e sequestrou 250 para a Faixa de Gaza.

Yehuda Aharon Widawski, the oldest Holocaust survivor in Israel, has passed away at the age of 107.

Born in 1919 in Turek, Poland, he survived the Lodz Ghetto, Auschwitz, and Nazi forced labor camps. He made aliyah in 1950 - and then, in 1978, he went back to Poland. Not to forget. To remember.

For decades, he dedicated his life to locating, documenting, and restoring Jewish cemeteries and graves across Poland - identifying over 3,000 burial sites and preserving the memory of communities that were wiped from the earth.

In 2012, he was chosen to light a torch at Israel's official Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony.

He survived the worst humanity had to offer - and spent the rest of his life making sure the world would never forget.

May his memory be a blessing. 🕯️🇮🇱

The IDF has never planned, approved, or carried out a strike in Gaza in which 500 civilians or anything near that number were anticipated to be killed. Nor was any credible claim raised throughout the war suggesting that an IDF strike had caused anything near that number of fatalities.

The filmmakers couldn't possibly verify this claim, there is no real supporting evidence, and yet they published it anyway. Additionally, nothing about the interviewee, not his service nor his role can be independently checked and verified.

No such strike was ever planned, approved, or carried out yet this is the claim the filmmakers chose to promote their movie with. Judge the rest accordingly.

Watching Fauda on Netflix brought back a memory I wish I could forget.

The horrifying scenes of civilians being killed on October 7 took me back nearly three years, to that morning when I woke up at 6:30 a.m. to the sound of rockets being fired from Gaza.

On my way to work, I saw an Israeli 4x4 driving through the streets with an elderly Israeli woman inside, while people around it were cheering. I was devastated and in shock. I wanted to do something, but I couldn’t. I remember thinking: “This is the end.”

That day, I posted a tweet condemning October 7.
