Em participação no podcast "Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard”, na segunda-feira (31), a atriz israelense Gal Gadot (Mulher-Maravilha, Velozes e Furiosos) contou como lidava, no início da carreira, com as perguntas dos entrevistadores sobre seu país de origem. "Eu apenas respondia àqueles que tinham interesse que visitassem Israel!", disse.

Gal contou que fica impressionada com a imagem distorcida que as pessoas em geral têm sobre o país: pensam que todos ali se locomovem de camelo, vivem no deserto e andam armados com fuzis.

"Prefiro não entrar em discussões, em controvérsias", afirmou. "Chamo meus interlocutores a visitarem Israel e virem como a vida ali é ótima, divertida e vibrante."

Talvez seja exatamente por isso que o movimento “Palestina Livre” sempre tenta boicotar Gal: sabe que quem a ouve pode, de fato, decidir viajar para Israel e perceber que o país é livre, democrático e cheio de diversidade.

Durante um encontro em São Paulo promovido pela StandWithUs Brasil no último sábado (29), o presidente-executivo da organização, André Lajst, conversou com Eli Sharabi, israelense que passou 491 dias em cativeiro do Hamas após ser sequestrado no ataque de 7 de Outubro. Na entrevista, ele relembrou o dia de sua libertação, em 8 de fevereiro, quando foi levado a uma cerimônia diante de milhares de pessoas, a qual havia sido preparada pelo grupo terrorista. Antes de chegar ao palco, ele e os outros reféns passaram três horas ensaiando as perguntas e respostas que deveriam repetir. Diante da multidão, aos gritos de “Allahu Akbar”, Eli conta que teve medo de que a situação saísse do controle.

O alívio veio quando foram entregues à Cruz Vermelha e, 15 minutos depois, houve a transferência para as forças israelenses. Já em território israelense, uma assistente social contou que sua mãe e sua irmã o esperavam em Re’im. Eli então pediu que trouxessem Lian, Noya e Yahel, sua esposa e suas filhas. Foi quando descobriu que elas haviam sido mortas no 7 de Outubro. Ele finalmente permitiu-se chorar, mas, cinco minutos depois, percebeu que precisava escolher entre ser consumido pelo luto ou seguir em frente.

Thousands of Peloton Members and StandWithUs supporters mobilized to raise concerns about potentially antisemitic social media content involving Peloton instructors and called on the company to meaningfully review those concerns and consistently apply its existing policies and standards.

Peloton leadership engaged with the Jewish community, creating space for members to share their experiences and concerns. Peloton instructors have also taken meaningful steps to listen, acknowledge the impact of their content, and commit to continued learning.
