Em um vídeo publicado terça-feira (25), o xeque Hikmat al-Hijri, considerado o líder espiritual da comunidade drusa na Síria, exaltou a ligação entre a sua comunidade e o Estado de Israel. “Nós, drusos, somos parte inseparável de Israel. Compartilhamos o credo e a ideologia e esperamos que o restante da região siga esse exemplo”, afirmou.
O xeque tem estado no centro da disputa política entre o novo regime sírio de Ahmed al-Sharaa e as milícias drusas na província de Sweida. As tensões começaram como uma disputa local entre drusos e beduínos, mas rapidamente se transformaram em um confronto envolvendo a nova liderança síria lutando pelos beduínos, e Israel apoiando as comunidades drusas.
O resultado do conflito foi um massacre de civis drusos sírios e a separação informal de Sweida entre o controle do governo sírio e o de drusos. Desde então, os drusos têm buscado maior apoio de Israel e das potências ocidentais. Em seu vídeo, Hijri elogiou Israel por criar um Estado que protege o povo judeu e expressou a esperança de que um Estado semelhante seja criado para os drusos.

When antisemitism showed up at a San Diego Padres game, one father knew how to confront it.
A Jewish father took his son to the game and proudly pointed out Jewish player Spencer Horwitz. His son beamed with pride. Seconds later, the woman behind them allegedly made an antisemitic remark, suggesting Horwitz was cheating because he was Jewish.
The father didn’t stay silent. He stood up and confronted the hate.
Thanks to his connection with StandWithUs, he knew the importance of speaking up and making it clear that antisemitism should never go unanswered.
On the drive home, he turned the moment into a lesson for his son: when you see hate, no matter who it targets, you stand up against it.

Evyatar David, de 25 anos, sobreviveu a mais de dois anos de inferno em cativeiro do grupo terrorista Hamas nos túneis da Faixa de Gaza, após ser brutalmente sequestrado no sul de Israel em 7 de outubro de 2023.
O jovem ficou mundialmente conhecido ao ser filmado em um vídeo de propaganda do Hamas, esquelético, sendo obrigado a cavar o que dizia ser a própria cova, durante o cativeiro.
Em entrevista à CNN na quarta-feira (26), ele relatou a crueldade inimaginável, os abusos e a fome deliberadamente imposta que sofreu durante o confinamento do Hamas. Foi sua primeira entrevista após ser libertado, há um ano.
“Eles tentaram arruinar nossas vidas e as vidas de nossas famílias e, no fim das contas, não conseguiram destruir tudo”, disse David.

Today marks two years since the IDF recovered Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Ori Danino, Carmel Gat, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Eden Yerushalmi, z"l, six hostages who were brutally murdered by Hamas in August 2024 after 328 days in captivity.
They were kidnapped on October 7, 2023. Five were kidnapped from the Nova music festival and one from Kibbutz Be'eri. They were held in tunnels beneath Gaza until Hamas took their lives just days before IDF forces reached them.
We remember them, mourn them, and hold their families in our prayers. May their memories forever be a blessing. 🕯️
