Arqueólogos que realizam escavações abaixo do Museu da Torre de Davi, na Cidade Velha de Jerusalém, descobriram um raro molde de argila usado para fundir o rosto de uma estatueta feminina datada do período do Primeiro Templo, entre os séculos VIII e VI a.C. Trata-se do primeiro molde de produção desse tipo já descoberto em Jerusalém.

Ele foi encontrado durante escavações em andamento no Kishle, uma antiga prisão da era otomana situada nas dependências do museu, enquanto se peneirava terra proveniente do período do Primeiro Templo. Após a limpeza, a Autoridade de Antiguidades de Israel produziu uma réplica a partir do molde, revelando um rosto feminino completo com um penteado de cachos. Estatuetas de argila dessa época têm surgido em praticamente todas as escavações em Jerusalém, mas, até agora, não se sabia onde eram fabricadas. Esse molde fornece a primeira evidência direta de que, pelo menos algumas delas, eram produzidas na própria cidade.

On October 8, 2023 - one day after the Hamas massacre - pediatricians at Israel's National Human Milk Bank realized something no milk bank in the world had ever faced: dozens of healthy babies whose mothers had been murdered, abducted to Gaza, wounded, or called up for emergency IDF duty.

One of the babies' mothers was an Israeli Air Force Apache helicopter pilot who cut short her maternity leave to fly combat missions. "Giving of your own milk, giving part of yourself while nursing your own baby is the height of unconditional love," said the bank's chairman. Cópias em árabe de Mein Kampf, livro escrito por Adolf Hitler, foram encontradas à venda em uma livraria no centro de Londres.

Segundo o The Jewish Chronicle, os exemplares estavam na Aafaq Bookstore, na Edgware Road, a poucos minutos da West Central London Synagogue. O vereador conservador Elliot Keck afirmou ter ficado “enojado” ao encontrar múltiplas cópias do livro na loja.

A livraria contestou que o livro estivesse em destaque. Em nota, afirmou que tinha apenas três exemplares, colocados junto a outros livros de história, e disse rejeitar “a ideologia nazista, o antissemitismo, o racismo e todas as formas de ódio”. A loja também informou que removeu o livro de venda “por respeito aos visitantes e à comunidade local”.

Report: Cyprus holds the highest rate of antisemitic attitudes in the European Union, with 58% of Cypriot adults holding elevated antisemitic views.

The findings conducted by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has found that are stark: 81% of respondents in Cyprus believe Jews have too much power in the business world, 39% believe Jewish loyalty lies only with Israel, and one in five Cypriots believe the Holocaust happened but that the number of victims has been exaggerated - a figure three times higher than the regional average.

Greece, Cyprus's close partner, ranks second in the region, with 50% of adults holding antisemitic attitudes - roughly 4.3 million people. Two-thirds of Greek respondents believe a small group secretly controls major world events, far above the regional average of 39%.

Despite these troubling figures, a striking pragmatic gap exists: 81% of Cypriots support maintaining diplomatic relations with Israel, and 90% support welcoming Israeli tourists.
