In a moving state ceremony on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, Israel, the remains of Shimon and Rivka Herzl - grandparents of Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism - were reburied beside their grandson's grave, exactly 77 years after Herzl himself was brought home to Israel, fulfilling his final wish.

Their coffins were covered with the same blanket that draped Herzl's in 1949.

Agam Berger, Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa e Naama Levy, ex-reféns israelenses do Hamas, estão no Brasil e, nesta semana, visitaram a Rocinha, no Rio de Janeiro, onde gravaram este vídeo compartilhado por Daniella. As quatro jovens eram das Forças de Defesa de Israel (IDF) e foram sequestradas pelo Hamas durante o ataque de 7 de outubro de 2023 à base de Nahal Oz. Mantidas em cativeiro por 477 dias, elas foram libertadas em 25 de janeiro de 2025, como parte de um acordo de cessar-fogo e troca de reféns.

Entre elas, Naama Levy ganhou projeção internacional após as imagens de seu sequestro chocarem o mundo. Os vídeos mostravam a jovem sendo levada por terroristas para a Faixa de Gaza, com as mãos amarradas e as roupas manchadas de sangue, em um dos registros mais marcantes do ataque.

A new report by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs reveals that terror group Hezbollah and the Iranian regime have spent decades constructing a parallel education system in Lebanon designed to indoctrinate children with extremist ideology and prepare future generations of terrorists.

The network includes at least 22 Hezbollah-run schools educating approximately 47,000 students, alongside affiliated institutions. From as young as five years old, children are taught concepts of martyrdom, jihad, and loyalty to the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader through physical activities that mimic military training. Hezbollah's Imam al-Mahdi Scouts - estimated at 100,000 members - serve as a pipeline into the organization's ranks, with some children recruited into Hezbollah's military from the age of 16.

Textbooks, magazines, and classroom activities glorify "resistance" and hostility toward Israel and the West, while songs praising the Iranian regime cause replace Lebanon's national anthem in some schools. This is not education.

Israeli archaeologists have fully exposed the central bimah - the raised platform used for Torah readings - at the site of the Great Synagogue of Vilna in Vilnius, Lithuania, following a month of excavation work. The dig, conducted jointly by the Israel Antiquities Authority and Lithuania's Cultural Heritage Preservation Forces, also uncovered the main prayer hall, the women's gallery, colorful terrazzo floors, and a metal plaque engraved with the Ten Commandments.

Among the most moving finds were seating plaques bearing the names of individual worshippers - including women who prayed in the gallery, members of a charitable society. The Great Synagogue was one of Europe's most important Jewish centers, associated with the Vilna Gaon - the legendary 18th-century rabbinic genius Rabbi Eliyahu Kramer. It was destroyed by Nazi Germany during World War II and later demolished by the Soviets to build a school in its place. That school was recently removed, allowing archaeologists to reach the heart of the synagogue for the first time.

The United Nations human rights chief has revealed that the Iranian regime has executed at least 56 people on national security-related charges since March 19, 2026 - 27 of them in cases directly connected to the January anti-government protests in which thousands were killed.

UN rights chief Volker Türk warned that more than 100 additional people face death sentences on similar charges, and that executions for drug-related offenses are continuing at an "alarming rate."

Os restos mortais de Shimon e Rivka Herzl, avós do fundador do sionismo político moderno, Theodor Herzl, foram sepultados novamente na quarta-feira (5), em Jerusalém, em uma cerimônia de Estado.

Esse foi o último desejo de Theodor: que seus avós fossem enterrados ao seu lado, no Monte Herzl.

Exatamente 77 anos após o corpo de Theodor ter sido levado de Viena, Áustria, para ser enterrado em Jerusalém, o desejo do jornalista, escritor e ativista judeu austro-húngaro foi cumprido. Os restos mortais de seus avós foram trasladados de Belgrado, na Sérvia, e enterrados ao lado do neto.

Em discurso no local, o presidente de Israel, Isaac Herzog, afirmou que o visionário sionista Theodor Herzl se inspirou nos feitos de seus avós para se comprometer com a criação de um Estado judeu.

“Os sonhos não são herdados por escrito; são transmitidos à mesa do Shabat”, disse o presidente.

Out of 200 cities worldwide, Jerusalem, Israel, has broken into the global top 10 for culture and history - ranking 10th in the world in that category according to a new tourism index published by Yanolja Research in collaboration with Purdue and Kyung Hee universities.

Overall, Jerusalem placed 48th globally. The index measured how cities are perceived by travelers in social media conversations across 14 languages - not just visitor numbers or hotel capacity. The result follows another major milestone in July, when Jerusalem was ranked 7th in the world by Travel + Leisure magazine's World's Best Awards 2026, voted on by over 207,000 readers. Eighty-eight percent of visitors reported high satisfaction with their trip - and 83% said they would recommend it. For 3,000 years, Jerusalem has stood at the center of Jewish history, faith, and identity, and its story continues to move the world.

Tonight begins the second yahrzeit (anniversary of the death according to the Hebrew calendar) of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Ori Danino, Carmel Gat, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Eden Yerushalmi, z"l - six hostages who were brutally murdered by Hamas in August 2024, after 328 days in captivity. They were kidnapped on October 7, 2023 - five from the Nova music festival, one from Kibbutz Be'eri - and held in tunnels beneath Gaza until Hamas took their lives just days before IDF forces reached them.

We remember them, mourn them, and hold their families in our prayers. May their memories forever be a blessing. 🕯️
