While this is good news it still does not take away from the fact that this was an absolute disgrace that mandates were introduced in the first place.

Their goal was to frighten you, but you did not fear. Then they tried to warn you, but you did not give in. They tried to isolate you from your family and friends, but you said no way. Then came the lockdowns, but that did not deter you.

Along came the mandates, but you held the line with strangers. Fines, jail, rain, floods, fire, rubber bullets, and pepper spray was not enough to keep you prisoner. You still showed up, weary, hurt and exhausted.

It is you who they must fear not the other way around. They know they can't control you which is what scares them the most. You did not comply, conform, or submit to their tyranny, and for that you should stand proud.

Those that caved in around you may mock you, ridicule you, snitch on you and persecute you but in reality they are afraid of your courage. They are in awe of your determination and how someone could be so resilient. Never ever forget that. Ever.

Be brave. Be proud.

❗️IT'S OFFICIAL! Unvaxed DoE staff in NSW can return to work. Here it is team 👊

While it's still not perfect and some staff in specialist settings will still require a jab we've come a long way.

We should never have been put in this situation but when our backs were up against the wall we stuck together and fought hard. This is a massive step in the right direction for us all.

The fight is not over but at least we are winning. To all those who held the line and those who sadly were coerced but still stayed in the battle, thank you.

📣 This is by no means a victory march but we have to admit we are so far up that hill from when we first started. I know some workers still can't go back and the Catholic system is playing hardball as are other industries. We will still fight for you because you fought for us.

I do want to personally acknowledge each and every one of you who wrote letters, signed petitions, donated money, made phone calls and attended rallies. You were instrumental in this fight.

I want to acknowledge the wonderful team of Craig, Rae, Emily, Sonia, Mandy, Theresa and Steve who put in so much during the last 9 months. Rae sharing my first Half-Time speech set the platform for something I wasn't prepared for.

I will say that if it wasn't for the foresight of Rob Chapman reaching out to me to start the NEU at the very beginning none of this would have come about. His guidance laid the foundation for everything we did.

It's also important we say thank you to Cole, Mike, and Jeff from National Workers United who put together some great strategies to tackle the Dept of Education. This is a battle that was fought on many fronts and they did an amazing job.

People like John Larter, Graham Hoody, and Roland Chrystal were solid in the trenches with us as was Mark Latham and Tanya Davies.

Make no mistake this is far from over but if you can return to your jobs and regain some sense of normality then please do. Earn some money, pay your bills, and get amongst society again.

Don't hold any grudges or carry a chip on your shoulders. I know we've been hurt and we've suffered but it's a burden you don't want to carry. There will come another time when you will be called to defend our way of life and for that we must be ready not weary.

When you walk back into a job I want you to hold your head high with your back up straight and your shoulders pulled back. Look everyone in the eye and say to yourself "you never beat me".

Now, pick up your shields, pick up your swords, and don't give them another inch 🛡⚔
