However, Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts are some of the safest states in the country despite being run by democrats for decades.
Jackson Mississippi, which is run by a republican governor has a 35 per 100,000 homicide rate while Boise Idaho, which has 100,000 less people, has a homicide rate of 0.9 per 100,000

It’s not about Democrats and it's not about poverty either because Rio De Janeiro has a homicide rate that is half that of Baltimore's
