I'm expecting Covington to continue on with what's been a very dominant and impressive performance so far in this fight. However, I've felt in recent years that the UFC has lacked a seriously exciting factor in a lot of fights.

I think part of the problem is the rules are overtuned for the light heavyweight/heavyweight divisions which were always the divisions which produced big stars originally.

The "3 points of contact" rule in particular creates a situation where grapplers are significantly advantaged by being protected from certain strikes they would have no protection from in a more realistic situation.

I'm also unconvinced that a grounded opponent taking one kick to the head is worse for them than taking 20 minutes of punches and elbows to the head from a full guard position.

PRIDE rules created more interesting, dynamic fights, and they avoided a lot of these meat grinder fights which honestly are not really fun to watch, a good promotion of the sport, or good for the long term health of the fighters in them.

When Putin is speaking of 'de-Nazifying' Ukraine he is not simply using boisterous language to make some kind of callback reference to WW2 and Russian military victories, he's speaking specifically of a specific kind of anti-Semitic, nationalist element which he knows exists because it was created and funded in major part by other Jews. This element needs to be gotten rid of in the Bolshevik world view because they also want to get rid of their handlers too so you can't just easily repurpose them into something else.
