It isn’t the exact same system we have now because in the system we have now money is printed or shredded based on the whims of central bankers. Under a labor money system money is only issued for labor which has been done. This has an effect on controlling the total money supply. You can very accurately predict what inflation will look like based on labor statistics.
The stamps that were originally proposed by labor money theorists had nothing to do with food stamps, just a way to physically alter the bill so that a regular bill could be altered to reflect a higher hourly value for a skilled worker with a stamp for that skill.
You also don’t need to go to a bank to exchange labor money for laborers. You can simply exchange it for goods and services.
