SITREP: IRAN CONFLICT UPDATE

Intercepted communications indicate Iranian sleeper cells inside the United States are being activated. This is the front that most Americans are not prepared for.

Iran's Assembly of Experts has selected Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader. He is 56 years old, deeply tied to the IRGC, and more hardline than his father. He participated in the suppression of the 2009 protests. His power base is rooted in the most anti-American factions of Iran's military and clerical establishment. The situation did not improve when we removed the previous leader. It rarely does.

Iran is executing a rope-a-dope strategy. They absorb strikes while expanding the battlefield horizontally through proxies and asymmetric action. We fought this same war in Afghanistan and Iraq. We lost both. No protest leaders have emerged inside Iran capable of organizing a viable alternative to the regime. The IRGC has not fractured. The protesters are on their own and at grave risk if U.S. forces withdraw before conditions change.

Federal, state, and local law enforcement must operate with heads on a swivel. The threat is real. Congress needs to stop playing politics with DHS funding. Now is not the time.

We are in this war whether we wanted it or not. The question now is how we define victory, how we protect the American people at home, and how we avoid repeating the mistakes of the last two decades. Those answers have to come fast.

SAVE AMERICA UPDATE:

A bill requiring proof of citizenship to vote should pass unanimously in a Republican-controlled Congress. The fact that it has not tells you exactly who some of these people are working for.

This is not a hard vote.

There is no legitimate political argument against requiring proof of citizenship to participate in American elections. None. Which means the opposition is not principled. It is purchased.

The question every American should be asking right now is simple.

Who paid for it?

SITREP IRAN: Global Oil Prices Rising!

The IEA (International Energy Agency) is a Paris-based intergovernmental org founded in 1974 by 31 OECD countries (plus associates) to ensure energy security after the 1973 oil crisis.

The 1973 oil crisis was a total oil embargo against countries that had supported Israel at any point during the 1973 Yom Kippur War (another Middle East war—they never seem to end), which began after Egypt and Syria launched a large-scale surprise attack in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to recover the territories that they had lost to Israel during the 1967 Six-Day War (a previous Middle East War).

The IEA monitors, among many tasks, global energy markets and coordinates emergency oil reserve releases—like today's proposed HISTORIC drawdown from the 1.2B barrel stockpile to stabilize prices and supply.

So what?

With the real potential that the physical aspect of this war comes home to roost (ie., Iranian sleeper cells reportedly being activated here in the United States), we have to be alert to how we got here.

A friend sent me this very astute analysis below this morning. America needs to awaken from this very well organized and resourced propaganda campaign we’ve been attacked by for decades and certainly in the last ten years.

The question that begs us all is as follows:

“Is the West dangerously naive, hopelessly hypocritical, or just running the world’s most luxurious safe house for the very ideology trying to undermine it? Right now, U.S. intelligence is tracking encrypted Iranian communications and law enforcement has been alerted to potential sleeper-cell activity on our soil.

These networks were not built overnight. They were pre-positioned, patient, and waiting for exactly this kind of moment.

Every cop on a beat, every sheriff and their deputies, every federal agent needs to be heads up and fully supported. These are the men and women standing between a coordinated attack and the communities they protect.

Now that Iran has experienced some level of leadership decapitation and defeat of some components of their military, does Iran possess or follow a military doctrine that allied and partner forces should be aware of?

The short answer is YES.

Iran's military doctrine in the face of leadership decapitation emphasizes resilience through decentralized command structures, rapid succession planning, and asymmetric warfare to ensure regime continuity and deterrence. This approach, often referred to in analyses as a "fourth successor" strategy, involves pre-designating multiple backups for key positions to prevent total disruption, making the system harder to fully dismantle.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) plays a central role, stepping in to consolidate power, stabilize institutions, and drive retaliation, potentially through collective leadership or hardline figures while a new supreme leader is selected via constitutional mechanisms like the Assembly of Experts or an interim council.

Key elements include:

Asymmetric Response and Escalation: Rather than conventional engagement, the focus shifts to missile strikes, proxy networks, and disruptions like targeting regional energy infrastructure or waterways to impose costs on adversaries without direct confrontation.

Recent examples highlight operations framed as "ferocious offensives," prioritizing vengeance and regional destabilization over submission.

Overall, the doctrine prioritizes endurance and counterpressure over reform, with outcomes potentially ranging from stabilized hardline rule to protracted instability, depending on internal cohesion and external pressures.

Bottom line: Settle in for a sustained conflict. History, cultural and societal norms, political dynamics, ability to suffer, and the idea they are the “chosen” people are all elements that must be considered, along with many other factors.

The question is who arrives at which point first?

As we’ve seen, the plan is nothing, while planning is everything and a plan never survives first contact.

And one of the most critical principles of war is “selection” and then “maintenance” of the aim. This is for both diplomats and Soldiers. Without the clarity required for both, war then becomes a continuum of failed policy.

Lastly, on Strategy, keep in mind as we observe what is happening from Iran and right here in our very homeland, the enemy of a good plan is the dream of a perfect plan. Let’s not be perfect, since we’re at war, let’s remind ourselves that war is an act of violence to compel our opponent to fulfill our will.

As I’ve said many times now, like it or not, we’re in the middle of a vicious, violent war and such is the nature of this war.

God help us and pray we are able to extract ourselves from this cycle very soon. Our problems here at home are just starting to show their ugly underbelly.
