The Conferencia Episcopal de Venezuela (CEV) expressed solidarity with Cardinal Baltazar Porras after obstacles prevented him from going to Isnotú

The CEV expressed solidarity this Sunday with Cardinal Baltazar Porras due to incidents that prevented him from traveling to Isnotú, in the state of Trujillo, to attend a mass for the birthday of Saint José Gregorio Hernández.

In a statement published on its social media, the CEV highlighted the "fundamental and tireless role that Cardinal Porras has played in the processes that have led to the canonization of Saint José Gregorio Hernández" and Mother Carmen Rendiles.

It assured that his commitment "has been key for the universal Church to recognize the holiness of these distinguished Venezuelans."
