The plane departed Russia on the October 22th and halted in Mauritania before crossing the Atlantic this afternoon.

Aviacon Zitotrans has notably been sanctioned for its links with the Russian government and the Wagner group.

The CEV expressed solidarity this Sunday with Cardinal Baltazar Porras due to incidents that prevented him from traveling to Isnotú, in the state of Trujillo, to attend a mass for the birthday of Saint José Gregorio Hernández.

In a statement published on its social media, the CEV highlighted the "fundamental and tireless role that Cardinal Porras has played in the processes that have led to the canonization of Saint José Gregorio Hernández" and Mother Carmen Rendiles.
