RadioGyan Interactive Mammography Workshop II
Successfully completed our second mammography workshop. We had 30 participants from over 7 countries (India, Chile, Costa Rica, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Slovakia, Philippines and the UK) - a truly global event!
Here is what Dr. Radhika Barde, an attendee had to say:
“It was indeed a very productive Sunday morning session, very interactive and very informative. I really appreciate all the efforts taken by both Dr. Ameya and Dr. Amar to prepare us for the workshop, be it the study material/reference books, updates or the cases which we received beforehand. It was one of the very first workshops as a Junior resident in Radio-diagnosis and I'm really looking forward to attending many more! Dr. Ameya is very knowledgeable and confident about his concepts in breast imaging and I think I got exactly the orientation I needed for Mammography, as a new resident. I also loved the fun quiz which you organized. ”
Dr. Avni attended the workshop the second time and here are her thoughts:
“Its a wonderful session, very interactive and helpful. Love the way Dr Ameya makes it more clinical oriented and stops to clear every single query that comes by. Also for Dr Amar to make it more interesting and fun. ”
Given that there were only 30 participants, the attendees got ample time to spend with the speaker. Each and every query was solved however minor it was. In fact this the response from the attendees was phenomenal. They were actively partcipating in the polls, taking up cases and getting their questions answered. To add to it we ALL had loads of fun, inlcuding a virtual group photo!
I could have easily kept 100 registrations (the limit for my current paid Zoom plan) but that would have made the workshop a one way “webinar” or a talk rather than an interactive workshop.
My intent has been and always be to give quality education to all those who do not have access to. This was one more step in that direction. I am sure there will be many more such quality learning opportunities. There will always be naysayers and people who try to pull you down but if intentions are good and you are ready to put in the hardwork, nothing can stop you!
I thank Dr. Ameya Kulkarni for conducting a phenomenal workshop and all the attendees for such an amazing response.
