did a study over a few days over my friends that made it in all past cycles and grew and analized myself also. TLDR:
1. None of the ones that made 8fig+ 9fig were using leverage on perps, some did use like staking eth for steth and farming, that type of arbitrage mostly.
2. All won big on some projects where they had real conviction like RPL, HYPE and similar ones and where they had a bit of edge vs retail knowing a bit more becasue they invested time into it.
3. Most that got rekt and lost from 8 fig to 0 some even below 0 because taxes left to pay were heavy into leverage stuff.
Ikd if this helps to anyone but I spent quite some time to put all data together and this is the pure truth.
(Myself even if I do use perps from time to time, most profits I made were market buy things I truly believed in especially in big coins like $ETH $BTC $DOGE $NEAR and others like that)
