Dear friends, greetings! πŸ–€πŸ§‘

πŸŽ— The Victory Parade is one of Russia’s most significant national traditions β€” a military and commemorative event held every year on May 9 to mark the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) πŸŽ—

Today, the parade is not just about military might β€” it’s about memory, gratitude, and the living connection between generations.

Dear friends, greetings! πŸ’

Movies about war are not easy to watch. But they are important. They remind us what the soviet nation went through, what they lost, and what they still found the strength to defend.

Watching these films is about feeling the history. About sitting in the dark and realizing that the soviet people on the screen had names, families, dreams β€” and that many of them never came home. We owe it to them to watch, to remember, and to pass those stories forward. πŸ”₯

Dear friends, greetings! πŸŽ–

RUDN held an event dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

πŸŽ—There were wartime songs from a military brass band, dances from student groups, the "Victory Waltz", a field kitchen, St. George ribbons, letters to soldiers, and an interactive military exhibition.πŸŽ—

It was a moment to remember, to thank, and to stand together. Days like this remind us that the people who came before us gave everything so we could live without fear. We carry their memory not only in words, but in the way we live, study, and stay united across cultures and continents.πŸ₯‡

A day of memory, gratitude, and unity. Thank you to everyone who came.

Dear friends, greetings! πŸ’œ

We are starting a new mini‑series: an introduction to the giants of Russian literature. Just the essentials - who they were, why they matter, and which books you should read first.

First up is Russia’s most famous poet - Alexander Pushkin. πŸ’œ

β˜‘οΈHe created the modern Russian language. Before him, educated Russians spoke French and considered Russian a peasant language. After him, everyone wanted to write like Pushkin.

That is why we begin with him.

Next week - another giant. Stay tuned.
