Whistling knife pierces midnight hush. Clouds swirl, entwine, curling up backs on cresent. Wet. Warm. Oh, Bloody red. Flooding through downtown road's surface—Sure, immediately dry neath dusk. A cool breeze blows over the sweat dripping down forehead. Torn flesh, gaps open. Leaving behind a pulse that will soon fade. My head turns, gazing at you. I’m not a monster, perhaps. And it could be you: reaches out your hand to me. Count on me.
