None of these people have a clue what to do with 40 acres and a mule. If they did, they’d already have acquired it by the sweat of their brows. Or they would have built a business, or set up passive income streams, or have tangible investments that leverage debt for significant cash flow with minor tax burdens.
If you want others to do for you what you refuse to attain for yourself, you deserve nothing. Anything given is just enabling such lousy attitudes toward life and your fellow man.

History is full of tragedy. People have done much harm to others over the centuries. The only way we will ever come close to building a better world is to move on and get to work. Focus on making the future better. Remember the past as motivation and as a constant warning against quitting.
