🚨 The screams of IOF soldiers were heard following armed clashes at Qalandia checkpoint in #AlQuds earlier tonight. Resistance sources indicate that at least four soldiers were wounded.
On this day 43 years ago, student, comrade, and fighter Taghreed Ismail Al-Batmeh ascended to martyrdom after IOF soldiers shot her during a protest that started from Bethlehem University after students clashed with the zionist forces.
"The Flower of the Good Earth" was born in 1958 in Battir, Bethlehem, Taghreed soon joined the ranks of the PFLP as part of the liberation struggle in order to expel the colonial settlers from her homeland. She is honored by Naji Al-Ali in the above drawing, with the symbolic hoopoe bird singing a tearful song for the heroic martyr.
In response to her martyrdom, PFLP commandos assassinated IOF officer Moshe Golan in the Taghreed Batmeh Operation as a response "to the fascist terrorism carried out by the zionist entity against our masses in the homeland." They stated that it was revenge for "comrade and fighter Taghreed's assassination after failed attempts to assassinate the fighters Al-Shak'a, Khalaf, and Al-Taweel." After a carefully-planned ambush, the PFLP announced Moshe's "immediate death."
The PFLP mourned Taghreed honorably, calling for more resistance, more unity, and to escalate the revolutionary intifada, calling for a overthrow of the "conspiracy of autonomous administrative rule." which would form the basis for the Palestinian Authority 14 years later.
A poem published in the PFLP's Al-Hadaf reads:
"Taghreed, Palestine's bride, passed into her blood,
and her blood announced the intifada.
Taghreed passed into the good earth,
and the olive trees announced disobedience.
Taghreed passed into the university,
and the students declared a strike.
Taghreed rushed towards us,
and we extended our palms to her falling blood,
a stream from the poppy's petals..."
Glory to our revolutionaries!
Glory to our martyrs!
Glory to the resistance that avenges them!

🟢 Hamas on the second anniversary of Nizar Banat's martyrdom:
—
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We demand justice for the martyr Nizar Banat, punishment of the perpetrators, and an end to political arrests.
Today marks the second anniversary of the assassination of the martyr and activist Nizar Banat, which has added to the grief and pain of our people and our nation due to this crime. The Security Forces of the Palestinian Authority continue the crime of political arrest and torture of citizens based on their political and trade union orientations and their engagement in resisting the zionist occupation.
As we painfully remember the martyr Banat, and a long list of martyrs who fell due to brutal torture in the Palestinian Authority's prisons or by its bullets, we affirm the following:
First: Justice for the martyr Nizar Banat and the martyrs of torture in the Authority's prisons requires the Authority's presidency to immediately move towards punishing the killer perpetrators, and to definitively stop the crime of political arrest, and to lift its hand from the judiciary.
Second: We demand the immediate release of all political detainees in the Authority's prisons among resistance fighters and activists of trade union and student work, and to strive to heal the wounds of the detainees' families before the blessed Eid al-Adha.
Third: The continued suppression of freedoms, the persecution of citizens, arbitrary and illegal arrests, in addition to the systematic torture policy in the Authority's prisons, will only contribute to undermining social peace in service of the zionist occupation, and does not serve our people's aspirations for freedom and independence.
Fourth: We call on all national, rights, and civil forces and entities to play a greater effective role in pressuring the Palestinian Authority to end the crime of political arrest and torture in prisons.

Today, on the second anniversary of his martyrdom at the hands of the traitorous Palestinian Authority that assassinated him, we encourage our readers to listen to the words of the martyr of truth, Nizar Banat, and heed his words.
—
"The world stands with you today because you have a rocket."
Martyr Nizar Banat destroys all reasoning to normalize with liberal zionists in one of his greatest videos, now available with English subtitles.
He dismantles the propaganda tactics that normalizing careerists and zionists use to impress thoughts of concession on our youth instead of armed resistance. He reminds us that being “peaceful” does not bring respect, but that "The world stands with [us] today because [we] have that rocket."
He specifically warns against J Street and the normalization industry that has infested Palestine with foreign agents who run on a circuit from the US to encourage normalization. Nizar shares how these careerist informants gaslight Palestinians when confronted for their traitorous ways.
Self-serving figures like Saeb Erekat, highlighted prominently in this video, spread corruption and neglect not only the Palestinian people, but their own families for the sake of normalization. Banat rejects the scandalous effort by these types to water down the occupation with negotiations, which Saeb proudly rallied for. We declare #NoToNormalization!
Nizar speaks in the people’s voice and affirms that our cause will always be for liberation from settler-colonialism and never was and never will be the liberal zionist comparison to South African apartheid, or Gandhi's India against foreign companies, or a movement “for equality.”
The martyr beams when he says: the path we take is like the path of Algeria.

Note: This is the second full-length Nizar Banat video that has been translated to English, to our knowledge. Linked here is the first, where Nizar speaks on Iranian support of Palestinian resistance.

The family of Nizar Banat on the second anniversary of his assassination:
"Today on the second anniversary of the assassination of the martyr Nizar Banat at the hands of the PA Security Forces, and the continuation of the policy of threats and pursuing by the (PA) Preventative Security Services to the members of our family.
This campaign did not spare the youth or elders of the family. The goal of the PA Security Forces is to shut the file of the assassination. But they are not able to. Every time they pressure us or passed their threats to us, we have been up to the challenge.
We applied the saying: The more they plant fear, the more they harvest more confrontation/challenge.
In this honorable gathering, we confirm that we will persevere until complete and unfettered justice is achieved for Nizar Banat."

🟢 Al-Alam TV conducted an exclusive interview with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, during his visit to Iran. Haniyeh confirmed that his visit to Tehran has significant implications for Palestine. RNN has translated the full interview below.

Haniyeh:
Throughout history, revolutions and national liberation movements have always had independent decision-making, not influenced by anyone, and driven by the interests of their people and their cause.
Today, the resistance is prepared and ready to respond to the occupation, as it experienced when it entered Jenin and recently carried out assassinations against our brothers in the leadership of the Saraya [Al-Quds] in the Gaza Strip.
On prisoner exchange deals: If and only if the zionist enemy agrees to these demands, we are ready to proceed with a deal. However, if the zionist enemy does not recognize the necessity of reaching a deal with us, the resistance also has a long reach and can increase the number of zionist captives in the basket of resistance.
The Palestinian people are a unified and cohesive people, as demonstrated by all previous confrontations, where they support and stand by each other. When one part of our people is targeted anywhere, the other part stands in support, defense, and solidarity.
The Al-Qassam Brigades provided the strong support for their brothers in Saraya Al-Quds, who took the lead and responded to the assassinations that had been ongoing for five years.
There is no doubt that the last battle, the battle of Revenge of the Free, and how this battle was engineered within the framework of the Joint Operations Room, inflicted defeat on the "israeli" occupation and drew pain on the face of this occupation.
