🚨 BREAKING: The disgraceful and traitorous Palestinian Authority kidnapped and assaulted Abdulmajid Hassan, the incoming head of Birzeit's Student Council moments ago in front of his home (video). Abdulmajid was to be sworn in in the next few hours.
This comes following an intensive campaign by the PA targeting students affiliated with the Islamic Bloc at Birzeit and Al-Najah universities following their decisive and historic student election victories, prompting students at Birzeit to release a statement this week in conjunction with an open-ended sit-in.
This is the reality of the Palestinian Authority: suppression of dissent and working with the enemy to attempt to silence any voices that oppose their security coordination. Time and time again, the PA demonstrates its willingness to work as a dog for the enemy and its lack of concern for liberation.

🚨 Two shooting operations targeted zionist forces in #Tulkarem moments ago. Direct fire was opened on an IOF vehicle in Deir Al-Ghusn, followed by gunfire targeting a vehicle carrying soldiers at Pharoah's Gate. Zionist forces have been operating in the area.

Students of Birzeit reject PA repression! Today, following the kidnapping of the head of the Student Council, Abdulmajid Hassan, the Islamic Bloc issued a statement at an emergency press conference.
This follows after a vicious campaign targeting students on the grounds of their support for resistance and opposition to the PA's security coordination.
Read the Islamic Bloc's statement from two days ago here after PA forces similarly kidnapped three other members of Birzeit's Islamic Bloc. Yesterday, the students declared an open-ended sit-in, prior to Abdulmajid's abduction, which is only the latest in the PA's long campaign of repression of pro-resistance voices.

🟢 The Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University in an emergency press conference in response to the kidnapping of the head of the student council by PA forces:
—
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Praise be to Allah, Lord of all the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the last of the prophets.
To our brothers and sisters, the students of the university of martyrs, the Birzeit University community, O all the masses of our people, we salute you with the greeting of martyrs, prisoners, and the resistance uprising against the occupation in every corner of Palestine.
In light of the escalation of the vicious campaign led by the security forces of the Palestinian Authority against the students of Birzeit University, the latest of which was the savage kidnapping of the head of the Student Council, the liberated prisoner, the brother, Abdulmajid Hassan, along with the brutal repression and atrocities that accompanied this arrest, and the preceding arrest of brothers Yahya Farah, Abdulghani Faris, Abdullah Abu Qiyas, and their torture:
We, in the Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University, affirm the following:
First: We renew our condemnation of the practices of the Authority's security forces, which are against any law, national or humanitarian custom, and serve only the occupation. We demand these forces and the [Palestinian] Authority's leadership to stop their attacks on university students and student movement cadres.
Second: We call upon all forces, activities, and institutions of our people to urgently mobilize to condemn the practices of the Authority's forces and their policies, to raise their voice high in affirming the freedom of student union work, and to reject the pursuit, arrest, and torture of students.
Third: We call upon the University Presidency and the Board of Trustees to take effective and immediate intervention by declaring an explicit stance rejecting the arrest of their students and their torture, practicing all possible logic to release them and provide them with protection. They are also called upon to provide legal and human rights follow-up for the arrested students and the documentation of their torture and abuse.
Fourth: The student movement at Birzeit University, in all its components, frameworks, and all its students, are called today to take a unified stance against the arrest and torture of their peers and to put an end to the Authority forces' encroachment on university freedoms.
In conclusion, we assure the university community and all our people that the Islamic Bloc will continue its national and union duty, and that its sons and daughters will always be at the forefront of the Palestinian student movement, despite repression, pursuit, and restriction from near and far.
The sons of the Islamic Bloc have led the way in union and national work in helping their people. Their peers are committed to science, resistance, and creativity. We invite our free university students to participate in the mass rally tomorrow, Monday, as an opportunity to show loyalty in the student council for the new session.
Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Your brothers in the Islamic Loyalty Bloc.
