Statement issued by the family and the campaign for the release of the prisoner Walid Daqqah regarding "the right of prisoner Walid Daqqah to appear before the early release committee" on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 1:45 pm.

After four hours of deliberation on Sunday, June 18 2023, the “israeli” court in “Ma'asiyahu” prison in Ramla adjourned without ruling on the right of prisoner Walid Daqqah to appear before the "early release committee," and the judge will issue his decision within a week from the date. It should be noted that prisoner Walid Daqqah has completed his unjust actual life sentence of 37 years since March 24 2023, but he is still being arbitrarily detained after adding two years to his sentence in 2018 on the pretext of attempting to help prisoners contact their families.

We, the family and the campaign for the release of prisoner Walid Daqqah, consider any decision or ruling that does not lead to his immediate release as a statement of his execution, through procrastination in deciding on his release despite the very high level of danger regarding his health status, which was acknowledged even by the “israeli prison service” report. Despite this report, the removal of the "Sgav" classification from Walid Daqqah, and the end of his actual sentence 86 days ago, the court has not yet decided on his immediate release. We take this opportunity to call on all political and popular levels to support our campaign at all levels—national, Arab, and international— until the release of prisoner Walid Daqqah.

🚨 The zionist government approves a decision to authorize extremist minister finance minister Bezalel Smotrich to approve plans to build new settlements without government approval. This dangerous step will accelerate settlement construction across the West Bank, especially in Smotrich's hands who is aligned with Ben-Gvir.

⚫️ Palestinian Islamic Jihad spokesman Tariq Selmi reaffirmed: “Granting Smotrich the decision to speed up settlement activity without the approval at the political level will not succeed in obliterating the Palestinian identity. The occupation will not succeed in passing its racist and illegal decisions as long as there is a resistance that fights it firmly in all arenas.”

🟢 Hamas: "We condemn in the strongest terms the continued efforts of the zionist occupation authorities in their relentless campaign to Judaize our Palestinian land, the latest of which is the approval of issuance of tenders for the construction of more than 4,500 additional settlement units in several zionist settlements in the occupied West Bank. We affirm that these Judaizing colonial projects will not grant legitimacy to the occupation on our land, and our people will resist them by all available means."

🔴 Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine confirms, today, Sunday, that the decisions issued by the enemy zionist government to expand and accelerate settlement in the West Bank are an escalation of a path that the enemy has been working on for years to annex the occupied West Bank.

The Front emphasizes that the enemy government's announcement completely oversteps all related international resolutions and is a direct result of the continued Western and international support and coverage for the zionist entity and its criminal policies against our people.

The PFLP calls for an escalation of all forms of resistance and struggle against these terrorist policies, affirming that the fate of the West Bank, the land of Palestine, and its people have never and will never be subject to the decisions of the occupying enemy, but it is the people of Palestine who will determine and shape it through their continuous resistance and struggle.

We affirm the unity of the Palestinian people in the trench of resistance and struggle against this project and others, expanding the scope of confrontation with the enemy, and resistance with all its tools and methods, calling for a unified Palestinian position capable of mobilizing the Arab position, and isolating the zionist entity and pursuing it internationally.

The PA sells our gas to the enemy. Our gas is our right despite the will of the traitorous Palestinian Authority and the zionist enemy! In July 2022, the resistance ignited a campaign demanding rightful sovereignty over its resources. Following a tripartite…
The zionist entity has approved development of the "Marine" gas field off off the coast of Gaza.

The plan, developed by the Palestinian Authority, zionist entity, and Egypt would see the entity stealing Gazan gas to process it in Egypt in order to sell it to Europe, with the PA getting a share of the profits.

The trilateral agreement was put in place under the guise of “supporting the Palestinian economy” to improve the dying entity's false dreams of security. The traitorous Palestinian “Authority,” an arm of the occupation, is participating from the theft of its people's resources, as is typical for them, and the gas field agreement will be no different.

This blatant act of theft is yet another attempt by the occupation and normalizing traitors to steal Palestinian resources, an act which the resistance in Gaza has threatened would reap hefty consequences.

This development mirrors last year's Karish gas field agreement between Lebanon and the occupation entity; only one option forced zionist concession, and that was resistance. In the face of Hezbollah's threats to bombard Karish, the temporary entity was forced to recognize Lebanon's maritime borders following the resistance's intervention. Similarly, Palestinian factions stated: "Our right to Gaza's gas and its fields on its shores will be protected with fire and gunpowder."

🚨 BREAKING: The disgraceful and traitorous Palestinian Authority kidnapped and assaulted Abdulmajid Hassan, the incoming head of Birzeit's Student Council moments ago in front of his home (video). Abdulmajid was to be sworn in in the next few hours.

This comes following an intensive campaign by the PA targeting students affiliated with the Islamic Bloc at Birzeit and Al-Najah universities following their decisive and historic student election victories, prompting students at Birzeit to release a statement this week in conjunction with an open-ended sit-in.

This is the reality of the Palestinian Authority: suppression of dissent and working with the enemy to attempt to silence any voices that oppose their security coordination. Time and time again, the PA demonstrates its willingness to work as a dog for the enemy and its lack of concern for liberation.

🚨 Two shooting operations targeted zionist forces in #Tulkarem moments ago. Direct fire was opened on an IOF vehicle in Deir Al-Ghusn, followed by gunfire targeting a vehicle carrying soldiers at Pharoah's Gate. Zionist forces have been operating in the area.

Students of Birzeit reject PA repression! Today, following the kidnapping of the head of the Student Council, Abdulmajid Hassan, the Islamic Bloc issued a statement at an emergency press conference.

This follows after a vicious campaign targeting students on the grounds of their support for resistance and opposition to the PA's security coordination.

Read the Islamic Bloc's statement from two days ago here after PA forces similarly kidnapped three other members of Birzeit's Islamic Bloc. Yesterday, the students declared an open-ended sit-in, prior to Abdulmajid's abduction, which is only the latest in the PA's long campaign of repression of pro-resistance voices.

🟢 The Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University in an emergency press conference in response to the kidnapping of the head of the student council by PA forces:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah, Lord of all the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the last of the prophets.

To our brothers and sisters, the students of the university of martyrs, the Birzeit University community, O all the masses of our people, we salute you with the greeting of martyrs, prisoners, and the resistance uprising against the occupation in every corner of Palestine.

In light of the escalation of the vicious campaign led by the security forces of the Palestinian Authority against the students of Birzeit University, the latest of which was the savage kidnapping of the head of the Student Council, the liberated prisoner, the brother, Abdulmajid Hassan, along with the brutal repression and atrocities that accompanied this arrest, and the preceding arrest of brothers Yahya Farah, Abdulghani Faris, Abdullah Abu Qiyas, and their torture:

We, in the Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University, affirm the following:

First: We renew our condemnation of the practices of the Authority's security forces, which are against any law, national or humanitarian custom, and serve only the occupation. We demand these forces and the [Palestinian] Authority's leadership to stop their attacks on university students and student movement cadres.

Second: We call upon all forces, activities, and institutions of our people to urgently mobilize to condemn the practices of the Authority's forces and their policies, to raise their voice high in affirming the freedom of student union work, and to reject the pursuit, arrest, and torture of students.

Third: We call upon the University Presidency and the Board of Trustees to take effective and immediate intervention by declaring an explicit stance rejecting the arrest of their students and their torture, practicing all possible logic to release them and provide them with protection. They are also called upon to provide legal and human rights follow-up for the arrested students and the documentation of their torture and abuse.

Fourth: The student movement at Birzeit University, in all its components, frameworks, and all its students, are called today to take a unified stance against the arrest and torture of their peers and to put an end to the Authority forces' encroachment on university freedoms.

In conclusion, we assure the university community and all our people that the Islamic Bloc will continue its national and union duty, and that its sons and daughters will always be at the forefront of the Palestinian student movement, despite repression, pursuit, and restriction from near and far.

The sons of the Islamic Bloc have led the way in union and national work in helping their people. Their peers are committed to science, resistance, and creativity. We invite our free university students to participate in the mass rally tomorrow, Monday, as an opportunity to show loyalty in the student council for the new session.

Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Your brothers in the Islamic Loyalty Bloc.
