Today marks the birthday of the founder of the Lions' Den and its commander-in-chief, martyr Wadie Al-Houh. On this occasion, his family distributed sweets to children in the Old City of #Nablus amid celebrations. Children wore shirts with eminent Wadie's image. A child says "Your birthday in heaven is sweeter, O Wadie" and others say "With our blood and our souls, we will avenge you, O Wadie."
In addition to the silence-breaking, powerful statement released today that called resistance to prepare for a major and impending battle, the Lions of the Den prepared a statement on Wadie's grave confirming their presence and readiness on Wadie's birthday. They say that the unknown soldiers of the Den will be on the lookout for the enemy in all places.
Two days ago, zionist forces were driven out of the Old City of Nablus by the Lions' Den and other resistance factions after raiding the area near Wadie's home and the coffee shop bearing his name.
Today, let us remember he who taught us, in the tradition of Basil, Al-Hakim, and Al-Jabari, "It is not permissible for a bearer of guns to be uneducated. Our war with them is a war of consciousness." Let us remember he who formed the Lions' Den to "reject the factionalism that has exhausted our people since the Nakba," the one who believed in the popular struggle and realigned the compass of a homeland and its diaspora. Today, the forces of the PA targeted a number of students, such as Abdullah Abu Qiyas of Birzeit University (which recently saw a Hamas victory in its student elections), as well as members of the Student Council Yahya Farah and Abdulghani Faris. The forces of the PA continue to chase after every figure associated with the Islamic Bloc at the university. For days, they have held Mustafa Abu Al-Rub, representing the Islamic Bloc at the Arab American University in Jenin; he was kidnapped as soon as he exited the university.
Further, the PA abducted freed prisoners Ghassan Najajra, pictured here with his family, from Bethlehem and Khaled Al-Abed from Ramallah. Unity of action in the political and field arenas are extremely important, and we affirm that Iran will continue to support the Palestinian people and their resistance factions.
