An Arabic proverb says, “The first of rain is a drop.”

In the past two years, the Jenin refugee camp has attracted significant attention due to the resurgence of armed conflict within it. This was a major reason for the spread of resistance throughout the West Bank, after it had slowed for 15 years. Jenin, the Wasp's Nest, was the capital of resistance in the second intifada: a third of martyrdom operations had come from Jenin alone. This storied history remained history until revived by the "renewer of the clash."

This major shift in events can be traced back to one person, the founder of the Jenin Brigade, “the renewer of the clash.” Jamil Al-Amouri was the one to fire the first shot that poured into drizzle, rain, storms, and hurricanes, striking the occupation, washing them away, purifying the land from their footsteps.

Born in 1996 in Jenin refugee camp, Jamil was a social, beloved person known for his leadership from a young age. He was the sole breadwinner for his family and worked as a driver. With the approval of his parents, he sold his car, the source of his livelihood, to buy his gun which he named "Nisan," meaning April in Arabic, in reference to the 2002 Battle of Jenin.

Alone, his first operation took place in 2020 when he opened fire on the IOF demolishing the home of the prisoner Ahmed Al-Qanba'a. He continued to carry out operations, firing at colonial checkpoints, resisting the incursions of the occupation of Jenin. His name was entwined with the Jalameh checkpoint; when Jenin's residents heard the sound of gunfire near it, they would say, "This is, of course, Jamil Al-Amouri."

"Let the Shin Bet know, the clash is coming," chanted Jamil, his voice leading a protest in May 2021 during the Battle of Saif Al-Quds, heard in the attached poster. One of the fighters in the Jenin Brigade said he participated in every demonstration in support of Gaza at that time, before firing at the zionist checkpoints. It was during this battle that his family and friends urged him to organize a movement.
The first of rain is a drop. A year following his first operation, Jamil formed a cell of four fighters, which expanded to eight. This burgeoning cell continued to develop and is now known as the Jenin Brigade, the most formidable group in the West Bank.

Jamil was martyred before seeing the giant of resistance that his project would become. He became one of the most wanted by the occupation due to his involvement in several shooting operations that targeted the checkpoints surrounding the steadfast Jenin.

After several failed assassination attempts and arrests, on June 10 2021, a special zionist force ambush a vehicle carrying Jamil and his comrade-in-arms, prisoner Wissam Abu Zeid. They pursued them and engaged in an armed clash until Jamil's martyrdom Wissam's wounding and abduction. With all might and determination, Jamil was documented rushing towards the zionist forces moments before his martyrdom. His body remains kidnapped by the zionist entity. Two members of the Palestinian Authority's security forces, Adham Yasser Alawi from Nablus and Taysir Mahmoud Eisa from Jenin, were also martyred during the clash after engaging against the occupation.

Jamil's Jenin Brigade, nurtured from Gaza by martyr Tariq Izz El-Din, was officially announced in September 2021, following the "Freedom Tunnel" operation in which six Palestinian prisoners snatched their freedom from a maximum security zionist prison. The fighters affirmed their readiness to defend these prisoners and to protect them by any means necessary in the Jenin camp.

A fighter of the Jenin Brigade said, “The occupation feared Jamil because he was able to create a new situation in the Jenin camp that went beyond the divisions of factions. It was not only members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad who joined him, but also young men from Fatah and other factions.”

Today, the Jenin Brigade includes a mixture of Saraya Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and Al-Qassam Brigades fighters, but its main component belongs to Saraya Al-Quds, the armed wing of PIJ.
Clashes with Palestinian Authority forces have broken out in Nour Shams camp, #Tulkarem after the PA forces stormed the camp to remove barriers that resistance fighters placed to prevent an anticipated zionist incursion and assassinations.

Tulkarem, a growing hub of resistance, has increasingly become the target of attacks by both the zionist entity and the PA, who are clearly coordinating.
🟡 Youth of Revenge and Liberation (Balata Brigade):

An important statement to our brothers in the security forces:

You know the extent of the fierce attack that the occupation is launching against us, and you all know that we are martyrs in waiting, giving our lives and everything we own for the sake of Allah Almighty.

From here, we send a message to you, O sons of our country: do not obstruct our path or the path of any resistance fighter, no matter what faction they belong to. We do not want to collide with you nor do we want to deviate the compass, for our enemy is one, and when we took up the rifle, our target was nothing but the chests of the enemy.

Therefore, we know our path well, the path of liberation, Allah willing, or we will meet our loved ones who have departed us in the presence of a Mighty King.

Lastly, but not least, any harm to any honorable one will not make us sit idle.

Your brothers,
Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades

An IOF officer was seriously injured during "training," according to zionist sources. The IOF claims that they are withholding details of the hospitalized officer until the family is informed. Additionally, 19 IOF soldiers were injured, one "moderately," in an apparent "bus accident" in the occupied Naqab.

On January 1st of this year, we released the following video. The song, "Knight of the Clash" is dedicated to the martyr Jamil Al-Amouri: "I am going down, O mother, with my weapons, holding the flag of Palestine. We sacrifice for Al-Aqsa with our souls. We are the protectors of Jenin."

The sharp increase in resistance seen from 2020 to 2021 and beyond is largely in part to Jamil, the "renewer of the clash."

🎥 2022: INTIFADA—a year of records of resistance, success, and escalation. Our martyrs and prisoners sacrificed everything for our sake, and the resistance answered their call.

RNN presents a recap of this historic year, commemorating our front line that raised our heads high.

Resistance fighters open fire on IOF soldiers near the colonial separation wall in Marj Ibn Amer, northern #Jenin.
🚨 The National Prisoners' Movement in Occupation Jails:

We condemn the continued arrest of seven members of the "Palestine Action" movement by British authorities, following their opposition to the activities of companies complicit with the occupation.

We call on international legal and human rights institutions to seriously stand and take formal and popular action to pressure the British government to immediately release members of the "Palestine Action" movement.

We appreciate the efforts of the "Palestine Action" movement that has worked to shut down several sites affiliated with Elbit, a company specialized in the production of drones and weapons and supplying the fascist occupation with them, in addition to targeting its supply chains and other companies that supply the occupation with bulldozers for demolishing Palestinian homes.

Note: Support Palestine Action's legal defense fund at this link. Days ago, all charges were dropped against five members who shut down the Liverpool arms fair in October 2021, but a number of Actionists remain imprisoned or are awaiting court.
In response to the call of the resistance following clashes with the Palestinian Authority, the people of Nour Shams camp in #Tulkarem came out to demonstrate against the anti-resistance policy of the PA and in support of the Tulkarem Brigade.
Armed clashes have broken out at the colonial Tayaseer checkpoint in #Tubas after resistance fighters opened fire on it.
⚫️ Jenin Brigade - Zababdeh Deterrence Unit:

At this moment, our heroic fighters are engaged in clashes and are directly raining down explosive devices on occupation vehicles.

Saraya Al-Quds - Nablus Brigade:

Our fighters are engaged in clashes with the occupation forces, who stormed the Old City from several axes, with intense barrages of bullets and explosive devices.
🟡 Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - Nablus Brigade:

With all capabilities, the Nablus Brigade is engaged in an armed clash with the forces storming the city with blessed, dense, and successive barrages of gunfire.
🟡 Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - Nablus Brigade:

We are targeting the “israeli” occupation forces who stormed the house of the martyr leader Wadie Al-Houh with very intense salvoes [of bullets] now.
