🚨 For the second year in a row, the Islamic Bloc (Hamas) at Birzeit University near #Ramallah swept the student elections, mirroring the historic victory of the Islamic Bloc at Al-Najah University in #Nablus just weeks ago. Hamas won 25 seats; Fatah won 20…
🟢 Hamas:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

We congratulate the victory of the Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University. Our people renew their confidence in the resistance and its project, rejecting normalization and security coordination with the occupation.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) congratulates the well-deserved victory of the Islamic Bloc in the student council elections at Birzeit University, held this Wednesday. This reaffirms our people's commitment to the resistance, their trust in its project that preserves unity and the thawabet, rejects all forms of normalization and security coordination with the occupation, and represents a new endorsement for the party most capable of serving the students.

As we send a message of appreciation to this generation, which broke all bets except the bet on the homeland and the cause and assured the world that their compass does not deviate from Palestine and Al-Quds, we congratulate all the blocs participating in these elections, and the students of Birzeit University for the success of this democratic event. We thank the students who voted for the Islamic Bloc in these elections, which were overseen by the university administration in a competitive, democratic, fair, and wonderful atmosphere, reflecting the status of this university among national universities, and the responsible role of its administration in making this democratic event a success, based on protecting freedoms and the right to competition and free choice.

This victory, which came one week after the Islamic Bloc's victory in the elections of Al-Najah National University in Nablus, sends clear messages about the growing popularity of resistance and the Palestinian people's embrace of it, the triumph of truth, power, and freedom, and the dominance of the voice calling for escalating the revolution, liberating the land, purifying the sanctities, protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque, and achieving our people's dream of freedom and return.

We salute the revolution and resistance, to our sons in the Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University, and in the universities of the West Bank in general, who firmly resisted the pursuit of the occupation, stood up to the political arrests by the Palestinian Authority's apparatus, insisting on serving their fellow students, expressing the will of a people who do not know retreat, and do not find surrender acceptable, no matter the challenges or sacrifices, and offer everything valuable for the sake of raising the flag of Palestine in the homeland.

In the face of this victory, we call for respecting the will of the student movement, the immediate release of the sons of the Islamic Bloc who are still languishing in the Palestinian Authority's prisons arbitrarily, to stop pursuing students and threatening their educational future because of their student and union activities. We emphasize the role of university administrations in protecting students as part of protecting the democratic choice, preserving this great achievement from security tyranny, and calling for the application of this democratic model to the Palestinian political scene by going to comprehensive elections to organize the Palestinian house.

⚠️ The IOF is besieging a home in Aqabat Jaber camp in #Areeha and demanding that those inside surrender.

Zionist forces have invaded over 60 homes in the camp during tonight's invasion. At least 14 Palestinians are injured.
The IOF is beginning to withdraw from Aqabat Jaber camp, #Areeha. Many IOF units were involved in a massive arrest campaign targeting resistance fighters in which at least 14 Palestinians were abducted.

Zionist forces also closed a number of roads surrounding the camp in order to besiege the camp and its fighters and isolate the camp from the city of Areeha.
After a nine month long hunt: among those abducted in #Jenin last night was Maher Turkman, a wanted resistance fighter who carried out the Jordan Valley operation of September 2022 that targeted a bus of IOF soldiers, injuring six of them.

His son, Ahmed, was abducted in #Jenin this April and was also part of the operation. His son, Mohammed was martyred, and his nephew Mohammed Walid was arrested in September as a result of the operation. Maher sometimes makes speaking appearances in #Jenin camp despite being wanted, as he is viewed as a hero.

May he and all our prisoners be freed. #FreeThemAll

Walid Daqqah has been held in the colonial zionist prisons for 38 years, since 1986. Last year, he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone marrow cancer that the occupation has prevented him from treatment of as part of its murderous policy of medical neglect…
The Ministry of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs:

The occupation has returned the sick prisoner, Walid Daqqah, to the Ramla prison clinic just days after transferring him to "Asaf Harofeh" hospital due to the deterioration of his health.

We confirm that the so-called Ramla prison clinic lacks the minimum necessities of medical care and returning prisoner Daqqah to it means that the occupation is continuing its policy of neglecting his health. We hold the occupation responsible for his life.

According to New Press sources:

A major failure occurred in the operation to storm the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp early this morning, despite the massive number of forces that invaded Aqabat Jaber in Areeha. The occupation forces' media publicized the intended target, which was to find weapons, money, and arrest wanted individuals, with the top of the command chain in the occupying army focusing on the operation.

Despite the operation, which lasted more than eight hours and involved the army's elite and special forces, the operation failed to find any weapons or reach the wanted individuals. The gunfire towards the occupation army continued until the last moment of the incursion.

This is the third failure within a week, as the occupation executed a similar operation in the Balata camp in Nablus, without achieving its goals.
