It is no secret that the southern towns adjacent to the front edge along the border with occupied Palestine are surrounded by more than 40 heavily fortified “israeli” military sites. These sites are equipped with advanced combat, defensive, and espionage capabilities and are strategically positioned on commanding heights that overlook these towns and beyond.

Since the beginning of Al-Aqsa Flood, these border towns have endured a year-long unprecedented aerial and artillery aggression, which has devastated most of the essential infrastructure. The towns now face harsh conditions due to continuous airstrikes by warplanes and various drones, making any movement within them a target for relentless air raids.

As the aerial assault on Lebanon intensified, the enemy escalated its destructive airstrikes on these towns before deploying thousands of soldiers, along with hundreds of tanks and military bulldozers, for a ground invasion. The “israeli” army precedes any border penetration on a given front with massive firepower—launching dozens of airstrikes and hundreds of artillery shells targeting narrow geographical areas. This is followed by the advancing of bulldozers and tanks into neighborhoods close to the border, leaving them in ruins. The invading forces often seek shelter near UNIFIL positions after clashing with the resistance fighters in face-to-face battles, which inflict both personnel and equipment losses on the invaders despite the harsh circumstances.

During their incursion into these border towns, the enemy systematically destroys homes, places of worship, and public facilities in fear of ongoing resistance.

In the end, the resistance delivers effective blows to the invading forces. It does not function as a regular army tasked with defending the entirety of the geography it occupies. Instead, it operates as a guerrilla force, tracking movements and gatherings to prevent the enemy from achieving its objectives, regardless of geographical calculations.

After 16 days of the ground invasion, the enemy has failed to announce control over any entire border village. Furthermore, the occupation’s goals—to dismantle the resistance's rocket capabilities, halt resistance operations, and restore settlers to the northern settlements—have utterly failed. On the contrary, the border front has witnessed an unprecedented increase in rocket fire toward enemy settlements and bases throughout northern Palestine, reaching the outskirts of “Tel Aviv.” Face-to-face clashes between enemy soldiers and resistance fighters have intensified within the border villages, and the number of settlers fleeing from Haifa to the outskirts of Safad and Tabariyya has increased significantly.

The resistance, through its battlefronts and strategies, affirms its determination to thwart the occupation's objectives and defeat its aggressive plans with all the strength it derives from Allah Almighty, the unwavering determination of its fighters, and the patience and steadfastness of its people.

🚨 IOF airstrikes are again targeting Al-Wardaniyeh, north of Saida in Lebanon, following an unusual evacuation order issued for the area. It is notable that the town is one of those that many southern Lebanese were displaced to, and are forced to displace from once again.

🚨 45 martyrs and 179 wounded were reported as a result of the IOF's attacks on Lebanon yesterday, Wednesday, bringing the toll since October 8th, 2023 to 2,412 martyrs and 11,285 wounded.

In the Gaza Strip, 29 martyrs and 93 wounded were reported yesterday, while at least 60 additional martyrs have ascended due to IOF airstrikes since dawn today.

1- At 23:23 on Wednesday evening, October 16, 2024, a rocket barrage targeted the "Kiryat Shmona" settlement.

2- At 12:50, a Merkava tank was targeted on the Al-Labouneh Heights with a guided missile, causing it to burn, with its crew killed and injured.

3- At 02:00, a second Merkava tank was targeted on the Al-Labouneh Heights with a guided missile, leading to its destruction and deaths and injuries among its crew.

4- At 08:30, a rocket barrage targeted a gathering of "israeli" enemy soldiers in the Sadana area in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.

The Islamic Resistance continues to resist the zionist aggression on Lebanon, inflicting heavy losses on the zionist army in both equipment and personnel, including officers and soldiers, across the entire frontline in southern Lebanon, extending into their positions deep in occupied Palestine. Since the start of ground operations near the Lebanese-Palestinian border, the zionist army has mobilized five military divisions, consisting of over 70,000 officers and soldiers, along with hundreds of tanks and military vehicles. In response, hundreds of Islamic Resistance fighters have been fully prepared to repel any zionist ground incursion toward the villages of southern Lebanon.

1. Ground confrontations:

At the beginning of this week, there was an escalation in the intensity of the heroic confrontations between Islamic Resistance fighters and zionist officers and soldiers advancing from multiple routes in the eastern and western sectors toward the villages of Odaisseh, Rab Thalathin, Blida, Markaba, Al-Qawzah, Aita Al-Shaab, and Ramia. These advances were covered by intense fire from air and artillery targeting the mentioned villages and their surroundings. According to pre-prepared field plans, Islamic Resistance fighters confronted the enemy forces around and inside some of these villages by targeting the advancing routes and drawing these forces into advanced ambushes within certain border villages. Fierce close-quarters combat ensued, especially in Al-Qouzah and Rubb Thalathin, resulting in the enemy suffering 10 dead, over 150 wounded, and the destruction of 9 Merkava tanks and 4 military bulldozers.

2. Rocket force:

The rocket force of the Islamic Resistance continues, with increasing intensity day by day, to target zionist enemy concentrations at military sites and bases along the Lebanese-Palestinian border and in the settlements and occupied cities in the north, extending to military bases deep in occupied Palestine, using various types of rockets, including precision ones being used for the first time.

3. Air Force:

The air force of the Islamic Resistance continues to escalate its attacks day by day on the enemy's military bases from the Lebanese-Palestinian border to deep inside occupied Palestine, using various types of attack drones, some of which are being deployed for the first time. In addition to combat missions, the air force is also conducting reconnaissance and intelligence gathering operations.

4. Air defense unit:

The Islamic Resistance's air defense unit continues to confront zionist military aircraft, both reconnaissance and combat, that are violating Lebanese airspace. They have successfully downed two reconnaissance drones of the "Hermes 450" type.

According to Islamic Resistance fighters' observations, enemy losses have reached approximately 55 dead and over 500 wounded among zionist officers and soldiers. Additionally, 20 Merkava tanks, 4 military bulldozers, one armored vehicle, and one troop carrier have been destroyed, alongside the downing of two "Hermes 450" drones. These figures do not include the losses incurred by the zionist enemy in military bases and sites along the Lebanese-Palestinian border extending deep into occupied Palestine.

In accordance with the directives of the Resistance leadership, the Operations Room of the Islamic Resistance announces the transition to a new and escalated phase in the confrontation with the zionist enemy, the details of which will be revealed by the developments and events of the coming days.
