What had been happening in Al-Quds at the time resembles today's scenes: women beaten, sanctities desecrated. A new uprising was about to break out, fueled by the revolutionary anger of the youth—The Knife Intifada.
A few months before, zionist settlers burned alive the Dawabsheh family, including 18-month-old Ali.
A week prior, 18-year-old Hadeel Al-Hashlamon was assassinated in cold blood in Al-Khalil. The killing was documented. Palestinians vowed revenge. It was a spark.
With a militant ideology and conscious activism, Diaa Talahmeh always supported his bleeding homeland, clashing on behalf of Saraya Al-Quds in 2014. In response to zionist violations of Al-Aqsa, he led a cell that detonated an explosive in an IOF patrol on September 21st. The next day, he set up another ambush, wounding soldiers, ascending as a martyr on the path to Al-Quds. A spark.

The Knife Intifada had begun. In a few months, 38 settlers were killed in 211 stabbing operations, 83 shooting operations, and 42 run-over operations. 500 settlers were wounded. At its peak, there were three operations per day.
The knife was the symbol of the mass popular uprising taking place. It was the common weapon that anybody could obtain, the greatest expression of a rising people. An astounding 25% of the operations took place in Al-Quds, and so this intifada is also known as the Al-Quds uprising, but operations took place all over the homeland, including the interior. 235 Palestinians were martyred across the homeland.
The period was characterized by these "lone wolf" attacks, borne out of the revolutionary anger of the masses in response to the violations of their land and sanctities. This coordinated stochasticity—organized spontaneity, in Basil's words—terrified the settler population. Over 75% of them felt unsafe at the time.
The response was certain to come before it began. Al-Quds rose in defense of the homeland, and it will rise again, spearheaded by the revolutionary youth.
These events are reminders of our collective unhealed wounds, desecration of sanctities, loss of life, which demands a forceful response. 🚨 A number of nurses and medical workers at Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil were wounded by four IOF artillery shells. While the Red Cross is working to evacuate the wounded, the IOF is refusing to give permission to ambulance crews to enter to evacuate the wounded.
A series of airstrikes also targeted the towns of Sare'en and Nabichit in the Bekaa, as well as artillery shelling on Odaisseh, Kfar Kila, and Khiam in the south.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine praised the positions of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as expressed in his speech today, Friday, October 4, 2024. The Front considers these statements a strong show of support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, as well as for the legitimate struggle and resistance against occupation, aggression, and genocide.
The Front noted that Iran’s official stance, reflected in the statements made by the leader of the Islamic Republic today, and previously in the remarks of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the sidelines of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum, complements Iran’s extensive efforts to support the region’s peoples. The American-British aggression on Yemen will not deter the will of the resistance from supporting and backing Palestine and Lebanon.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemns in the strongest terms the brutal aggression launched by American and British aircraft on the governorates of Al-Hodeidah, Sana’a, Dhamar and Al Bayda, which targeted civilians and infrastructure in Yemen with dozens of raids.
We affirm that this blatant aggression will not succeed in breaking the will of the Yemeni armed forces, which continue their heroic role in supporting and backing Palestine and Lebanon in confronting the zionist occupation and its agents.
By launching this cowardly aggression, the United States and Britain are once again renewing their involvement in the crimes committed against our peoples in the region, in desperate and continuous attempts to protect the zionist entity and to neutralize the Yemeni front from its duty to support Palestine and Lebanon.
Yemen, with its resistant people and valiant armed forces, will remain a great thorn in the throat of the zionist and their American, British and Western masters.
