The Knife Intifada had begun. In a few months, 38 settlers were killed in 211 stabbing operations, 83 shooting operations, and 42 run-over operations. 500 settlers were wounded. At its peak, there were three operations per day.
The knife was the symbol of the mass popular uprising taking place. It was the common weapon that anybody could obtain, the greatest expression of a rising people. An astounding 25% of the operations took place in Al-Quds, and so this intifada is also known as the Al-Quds uprising, but operations took place all over the homeland, including the interior. 235 Palestinians were martyred across the homeland.
The period was characterized by these "lone wolf" attacks, borne out of the revolutionary anger of the masses in response to the violations of their land and sanctities. This coordinated stochasticity—organized spontaneity, in Basil's words—terrified the settler population. Over 75% of them felt unsafe at the time.
The response was certain to come before it began. Al-Quds rose in defense of the homeland, and it will rise again, spearheaded by the revolutionary youth.

🚨 A number of nurses and medical workers at Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil were wounded by four IOF artillery shells. While the Red Cross is working to evacuate the wounded, the IOF is refusing to give permission to ambulance crews to enter to evacuate the wounded.
