Lebanon: The Popular Front buries the bodies of its martyrs
In a majestic scene, and starting from Al-Maqasid Hospital in Beirut towards the northern camps, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), on Monday, September 30, 2024, buried the bodies of its martyred heroic leaders, Mohammed Ghazi Abdel Aal (Nidal), member of the Political Bureau and head of the Front’s military and security department, Emad Mahmoud Odeh, member of the General Central Committee and military head of the Popular Front in Lebanon, and the comrade fighter Abdel Rahman Abdel Aal.
The funeral procession first arrived at the Beddawi camp, where the martyrs' bodies were received at the entrance to the camp by the leadership of the Front in Lebanon, the leadership, cadres and supporters of the Front in the Beddawi area, and a crowd of comrades, men and women, resistance factions, and Palestinian popular committees, the Lebanese national parties and forces, and large crowds of Lebanese and Palestinian people, and an honor guard.
The funeral procession toured the streets of the camp, led by the martyrs’ photo bearers, Palestinian flags, banners of the Popular Front and Palestinian factions, and wreaths of flowers. A group of honor guards performed the 21 gun military salute for the martyrs.
Then, the procession set off to Nahr al-Bared camp, where the bodies of the martyred heroic leaders were received by the leadership of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the Nahr al-Bared area, a crowd of comrades, cadres, families of the martyrs, Palestinian resistance factions, popular committees and Lebanese parties, and crowds of people from the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples.
The procession passed through the streets of the camp, arriving at Palestine Stadium, where prayers were held for them. They were then buried in Khalid bin Al-Walid Cemetery.
The PFLP mourned its martyred comrades, Muhammad Ghazi Abdel Aal (Nidal) Abu Ghazi, Emad Mahmoud Odeh (Abu Ziad), and Abdel Rahman Abdel Aal, after they were targeted by the treacherous zionist enemy’s planes in Beirut’s Cola area, on Monday morning.
Several obituaries were also issued for the martyrs from the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance factions and notable figures.
