Analysis: The Anti-Netanyahu protestors are neither saint nor savior.
Netanyahu’s most recent stint as colonial “prime minister” has been full of spectacle. The very formation of his “parliamentary coalition” was fraught with double-crossing, public smearing, and an airing-out of the religious zionists’ dirty laundry.
Netanyahu and his coalition are easy to hate because they are outspoken about their intentions to erase Palestinians completely. After all, did “minister of finance” Smotritch receive any reprisal after calling for Huwara to be “wiped off the map”? The religious zionist coalition is so clearly abhorrent that it is easy to believe that anyone opposing them must be “better,” if only marginally.
It is important for those advocating the path of resistance to not fall into the easy trap of supporting, praising, or favorably viewing these liberal protestors. To put things into perspective, the “liberal opposition” of the zionist entity is calling to preserve the very same colonial judicial system that acquits the perpetrators of genocide and legalizes the expulsion of Palestinians from all of Palestine. The zionist court system has no guiding jurisprudence, certainly none that asserts that Palestinians are human in any way, or even exist.
Let us all be perfectly clear in our public-facing discourse: The settlement of “Tel Aviv” is not “rising up.” Protestors are not “fighting for democracy.” The simple truth is that liberal zionists are angry that the “progressive” facade has crumbled and their fascist policies have begun to poison domestic affairs. This is the product of a heightened contradiction reaching a breaking point, brought about by the continuous rise of the resistance and the deterrence equation that prevents “israel” from waging all-out war.

Fascist anti-Netanyahu protestors have cooled down after over three months of continuous protests following Netanyahu's decision to delay the second and third voting on the "judicial reform" bill until this summer.
Netanyahu gained the support of Ben-Gvir on this matter by promising to establish a "National Guard" militia under the exclusive control of Ben-Gvir as part of these concessions. Regardless, Ben-Gvir says, "The reform will pass. The National Guard will be established. No one will scare us."
Meanwhile, 100,000 pro-Netanyahu protestors took to the streets of occupied Palestine in support of Netanyahu's reform in opposition to anti-Netanyahu protestors.
While liberal zionist settlers are glad to see the delay (which liberal zionists are disingenuously calling a "freeze" to claim a false victory), their reactions indicate a false sense of hope. They frame it as a victory, but fail to realize that this delay will not stop the train of fascism that started with Ben-Gurion and Herzl and will end with the end of the entity. This temporary band-aid might slow their inevitable demise, but it does nothing to remedy the massive internal rifts or contradictions of the zionist entity.
