The arrest of the activist Abla Sa’adat is a new crime targeting the steadfastness and struggle of Palestinian women.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine affirmed that the arrest of national activist comrade Abla Sa’adat, wife of the imprisoned Secretary-General and leader comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, constitutes a new zionist crime added to the long list of crimes committed by the occupation against our people.

The Front clarified that this arrest comes as part of a systematic policy targeting leaders of the national and women's movement, as well as their families, in a desperate attempt to deter them from continuing their struggle against the occupation.

The Front pointed out that targeting the activist Sa’adat, who has always suffered from the bitterness of imprisonment and who represents a symbol of steadfastness and struggle alongside her companion, comrade Abu Ghassan, the Secretary-General, and a group of activists, falls within a scheme aimed at targeting Palestinian leadership, particularly Palestinian women who have always been at the forefront of the national movement.

The Front emphasized that such crimes will not weaken the determination of our people nor affect the will of the fighters who continue their resistance despite all of the occupation’s failed attempts to break them. Moreover, it will not weaken the resolve of national activist Abla Sa’adat or undermine the advanced revolutionary model represented by leader Ahmad Sa’adat.

The Front added that this arrest highlights the criminal policies of the occupation towards Palestinian women, who are continuously subjected to abuse and imprisonment, as is happening with the activist comrade Khalida Jarrar, who remains in solitary confinement and is subjected to further abuse and repression. The Front noted that these crimes aim to undermine the role of women in the national movement.

The Front called for escalating all forms of support and solidarity with the female and male prisoners to continue pressuring the occupation to stop its repressive policies and crimes against the prisoners. This escalation requires expanding international efforts aimed at ending the suffering of the prisoners and prosecuting the zionist jailers for their crimes against them.

The Popular Front mourns the loss of the French international activist Suzanne Lumanzo and considers her passing a great loss for the struggle for Palestine and the prisoners.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) mourns, to our people and the free people of the world, the international French activist Suzanne Lumanzo, who passed away after a long struggle with illness.

The Front praises the virtues of the late activist and her continuous struggle for Palestine and Palestinian prisoners, as well as her support for the comrade and fighter Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, who remains imprisoned in French jails. The late activist was a founding member of the "Campaign for the Release of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah" and a staunch supporter of Palestinian female prisoners and global liberation causes.

Suzanne Lumanzo was also active in participating in and organizing events in support of the international leader, Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, Secretary-General of the PFLP, and his comrades in the occupation’s prisons, constantly affirming the necessity of liberating Palestine from the river to the sea.

The late activist was a tireless force of energy and activity. Despite her age and illness, she dedicated her life to defending Palestine, advocating for the release of prisoners and Georges Abdallah, and fighting for the just causes of refugees.

Despite the deterioration of her health in recent months, she continued to participate in mass protests denouncing the zionist genocide against the Gaza Strip and the French government’s complicity in these crimes. She always raised the Palestinian flag and the photos of the prisoners inside and outside of France, even in her worst health conditions.

Every year, the late activist delivered a statement from Comrade Georges Abdallah outside the gates of his prison in Lannemezan, even in the most difficult and harshest circumstances. She read the latest statement last April, despite her illness, remaining the echo of the imprisoned fighter’s voice in the face of French imperial tyranny.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine extends its heartfelt condolences to her comrades and friends in France and everywhere, especially the Campaign for the Release of Georges Abdallah, to her family, and her life partner, Comrade Bernard. The Popular Front Calls for Widespread Participation in the Funeral of the Martyr of Arab Dignity

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has called on the Jordanian people to participate broadly in the funeral procession of the Arab revolutionary martyr Maher Al-Jazi, which will take place today in the Al-Husseiniya area of Ma'an Governorate, Jordan.

The Front emphasized the importance of rallying around the martyr's family and loved ones, urging the organization of activities that honor the martyr’s heroism and reaffirm the national path he followed, along with the supreme values he embodied of sacrifice, loyalty, bravery, and courage.

Statement of Condemnation | Regarding the Arrest of the Wife of the General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Ahmad Sa’adat, Comrade Abla Sa’adat

The Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon strongly condemns the zionist occupation forces for storming the home of our comrade leader Ahmad Sa’adat in the West Bank and arresting Ms. Abla Sa’adat, the wife of the General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the prominent leader Ahmad Sa’adat, who is imprisoned in the zionist occupation’s jails.

The Committee also denounces the ongoing detention of prisoners and detainees, especially the sick prisoners, children, and the elderly, as well as the holding of the bodies of martyr prisoners.

The zionist prison authorities insist on subjecting female and male prisoners to all forms of retaliatory measures, humiliation, starvation, physical and psychological torture, and violations within their prisons, including concealing their detention locations, numbers, and the conditions of their arrest.

This escalation follows a series of assaults on prisoners in the occupation’s jails. Recent reports from several released detainees indicate that the occupation is committing deliberate inhumane war crimes, which necessitate punishment and expose the brutal behavior of the occupation and its fascist, terrorist army.

The Committee holds the "israeli" occupation forces fully responsible for the lives of comrade Abla Sa’adat and the leading comrade in the Popular Front, Khalida Jarrar, who is suffering from a severe health condition, as well as all prisoners and detainees.

The Committee also holds the United Nations, the Security Council, and Arab and Islamic countries responsible for their shameful silence and their dereliction of duty, which has encouraged the zionist occupation to continue committing further war crimes against our Palestinian people in Palestine.

The Committee requests the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit the prisoners and detainees, especially the sick and children, to assess their health conditions and provide them with necessary medication, water, food, and clothing.

The Committee renews its demand to the international community, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the International Court of Justice to open investigations, pursue criminal accountability, and punish those involved in these crimes.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health has asked residents to safely dispose of any pagers that they own, and has asked hospitals to raise their level of preparedness. Reports of dozens of wounded residents across Lebanon have been made.

The zionist occupation, secure in the absence of punishment, has mastered the art of killing and perfected its massacres against innocent civilians from our Palestinian people.

The continued escalation of massacres against our people, driven by an insatiable thirst for bloodshed by the Nazi zionist army and its fascist leaders, reflects the sense of safety and security that the zionist war machine enjoys. This would not be possible without Western, American support and the silence of the international community, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations.

🚨 Zionist sources are reporting on a new “security incident” in Rafah near the Philadelphia corridor in the sourthern #Gaza Strip, in which multiple IOF soldiers were killed or wounded.

Helicopters were spotted evacuating numerous casualties from Rafah.

10-year-old Fatima Jaafar Abdullah ascended to martyrdom as a result of the a communication device in her family's home in Sar'een in the Lebanese Bekaa, during the explosion of hundreds of such devices.

Preliminary Statement Issued by Hezbollah:

At approximately 3:30 PM on Tuesday, 17-09-2024, several communication devices known as "pagers" carried by a number of workers in various units and institutions of Hezbollah exploded. These explosions, whose causes still remain unknown, have resulted in the martyrdom of a young girl and two [of our] brothers so far, and have injured a large number of others with varying degrees of severity.

The specialized units in Hezbollah are currently conducting a comprehensive security and scientific investigation to determine the causes of these simultaneous explosions. Medical and clinical teams are also treating the wounded and injured in several hospitals across different Lebanese regions.

We ask Allah the Almighty to grant mercy to our righteous martyrs on the path to Al-Quds, and we pray for a swift recovery for the wounded. We also call upon our honorable people to be cautious of rumors and false and misleading information spread by some parties, which serve the psychological warfare in favor of the zionist enemy, especially as this is accompanied by speeches of intimidation and threats from the zionist enemy regarding the so-called changing of the situation in the north.

🚨 According to the Lebanese Minister of Health and the Lebanese Civil Defense, 8 martyrs have ascended and more than 2,800 are wounded and over 200 are seriously injured across 100 hospitals, as a result of the explosion of wireless communication devices. Patients are being transferred to different governorates in Lebanon as hospitals in southern Lebanon have exceeded their capacity.
