The Ministry of Interior and National Security calls on citizens in the Gaza Strip to be careful not to provide any information or data via calls to any persons claiming to work in charitable associations or relief organizations, and asking citizens for detailed information about their places of residence, family members or neighbors, under the pretext of providing aid, parcels or sums of money.

We confirm that providing information or updating data with institutions and associations active in relief work is done exclusively through face-to-face interviews or within the known headquarters of those associations and institutions.

It has been proven from investigations conducted by the competent authorities that many of the targeting carried out by the “iraeli” occupation of citizens' homes during the previous period, which led to the ascension of martyrs and injuries, were carried out by providing information via mobile phone to the occupation's intelligence services impersonating well-known local and international relief organizations and associations.

The entities authorized to collect data for the purpose of providing assistance to citizens and displaced persons do so through face-to-face interviews and not via mobile phone.

We call on citizens not to respond to any calls they receive in this regard, regardless of the name of the calling institution, even if it claims to be a government agency.
