Hundreds of heroic martyrs' bodies remain withheld by the occupation so that they can be used as bargaining chips, distributed between the "Cemetery of Numbers" and freezers of death of the zionist entity. #ReturnOurChildren

On this day in 2019, the hero Omar Abu Leila ascended to martyrdom.

At only 19 years old, Omar Abu Leila carried out a daring, one-man resistance operation in Salfit, north of Ramallah and south of Nablus. Omar spotted an enemy soldier near the settlement of “Ariel”- a colonizer, an invader, facilitating the genocide of Omar’s people and abusing residents at a checkpoint. He acted fast, stabbing the occupier multiple times in a photo that is immortalized in Palestinian conscious. The soldier was killed.

Omar quickly grabbed the enemy’s weapon and opened fire on the usurping settlers, killing one other. After stealing a settler’s vehicle and shooting yet another soldier, he quickly made his escape towards Ramallah where he remained in hiding for over 60 hours.

Omar knew his work wasn’t done. When soldiers entered the neighborhood he was hiding in, he understood that his act of resistance was to continue. He opened fire on the soldiers who surrounded his home, ascending to martyrdom in the ensuing gunfight.

The spirit of this young lion lives on in today's resistance. Omar never stopped talking about resistance to friends and family; he knew that action must be undertaken in order to make a difference to end the occupation. Although Omar was a "lone wolf," this is the idea that permeates and inspires all the newly-formed armed groups that arose following his martyrdom. Glory to the martyr whose deeds and words are one, the hero of Salfit!

🚨 A Palestinian youth was shot by the IOF near the village of Beitin, north of #Ramallah, for allegedly attempting to carry out a stabbing operation on an IOF soldier. He is in a moderate condition, and the IOF have closed the nearby checkpoint.
