The ongoing invasions, attacks and mass arrests by the Zionist regime have targeted a large number of students and youth in al-Khalil, particularly students at Palestine Polytechnic University and Hebron University. This has also included the abduction of multiple women students and the summoning of others to interrogation by the illegitimate Zionist occupation forces.
At the dawn of September 1st, the occupation forces raided three towns in the Al-Khalil (Hebron) city area, breaking into homes, damaging property and kidnapping people. These towns are Yatta and Dura (south of the city) and Halhul (north of the city).
Among the people abducted were 4 female university students.
The students of the Palestine Polytechnic University of al-Khalil who were kidnapped are
* Yamama Ibrahim Al-Harini, 18, from the town of Yatta
* Raghad Khader Mubarak Al-Khalidi from Halhul and
* Raghad Walid Mahmoud Amro from Dura.
Hebron University student Alaa Mohammad Yusuf Abu Dayyeh was also abducted early this morning in a raid on her home in the town of Halhul.
During the raid in Halhul, the occupation also handed the liberated prisoner Dima Al-Wawi a summons for interrogation with its intelligence.
Dima was imprisoned in 2016 for 2 and-a-half months, for allegedly bringing a knife to an illegal Israeli settlement, where the occupation regime alleged she wanted to carry out a resistance operation. At this time, she was just 12 years old, which likely makes her the the youngest female Palestinian prisoner.
In Al-Fawwar refugee camp, the occupation forces attacked the family home of Polytechnic University student Malak Ihsan Abu Warda and also handed her a summons to interrogation by the Israeli intelligence. Her uncle, Mahmoud Abu Warda, a freed prisoner released from occupation prisons just weeks ago, was taken to the hospital after the invasion of his home.
